Abstract:
A method, system, and computer program product for dynamic short dial allocation in emergency systems can be configured for acquisitioning, by a PSAP element, data from a caller, smart device and/or sensor processing and storing the data. Further, identifying, by a decision framework located at the PSAP side an emergency incident by means of the data and extracting, by the decision framework an appropriate emergency pattern for the identified emergency incident. Furthermore, gathering geolocation information from the caller, smart device and/or sensor and retrieving emergency services or departments at the geolocation area of the caller, smart device and/or sensor. Subsequently, providing appropriate emergency services or departments which must be notified according to the emergency incident to the call taker and displaying appropriate short dials for the emergency services or departments which must be notified.
Abstract:
Embodiments described herein generally relate to a method and system of integrating a user's voice mail onto a single voice messaging service, e.g., a Unified Messaging (UM) service, such that a client may access this single source for voice mail retrieval, even where such voice mails are from a variety of sources, e.g., work, mobile phone, etc. A user, or the user's mobile operator, need only agree to accept the service, and the registration and configuration requirements for providing the service and forwarding calls to the service are automatically configured. The user's existing “speed dial” key or other setting for retrieving voice mail may also be automatically configured to the access number(s) for the service. Configurations may monitor the status of the service and update access and/or forwarding numbers. Voice mail forwarding and settings may also be automatically reverted back to the user's original service.
Abstract:
An automatic dialing system includes a telephone directory database configured to store first terminal information which includes a first telephone directory and first identification information and second terminal information which includes a second telephone directory and second identification information. An instruction receiving unit is configured to receive a dialing instruction. A telephone directory search unit is configured to search for a telephone directory. A mobile device connection unit is configured to connect the second mobile device corresponding to the automatic dialing system, when the found telephone directory corresponds with the second telephone directory. A dialing control unit is configured to dial a phone number corresponding to the received instruction through the second mobile device, when the found telephone directory corresponds with the second telephone directory.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the disclosure provide a mobile-specific intermediary replacement for the toll free service. This mobile intermediary entity or service can provide four primary call invocation types. Namely, calls can be invoked through a dialer of the mobile device, through a web interface accessed through the mobile device, through a mobile application executing on the mobile device, or through a personal assistant of similar service. The mobile intermediary entity or service can also provide rich, supplementary services for mobile callers. These services can include but are not limited to menu navigation, call continuity, caller geo-location awareness, and awareness of the caller's mobile network operator's identifier. Services natively provided by the called enterprise, such as call conferencing, can also be provided within the call.
Abstract:
A system for initiating phone calls includes a database including records related to one or more second users, each of the second users being associated with an identifier and a phone number, a phone including a controller in communication with the database, and a memory in communication with the controller. The memory including program instructions executable by the controller that, when executed by the controller, cause the controller to provide a user interface that receives a phone call request from a first user, wherein the phone call request includes the identifier associated with a one of the second users and does not include the phone number associated with the one of the second users, and, in response to receiving the phone call request, initiating the phone call over a telephone network from the phone to the phone number associated with the one of the second users.
Abstract:
Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided for location-based call control. In one embodiment, call control rules for an outbound call can be determined/identified based on the location of the mobile device. The call control rules direct the outbound call to different numbers and/or different applications.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method to operate phone using a single key, first provide method to form ‘key value’: (1) When the key is just closed, plus 1 to the ‘key value’, (2) When the key closing time is greater than time t1, form ‘closing key value’, (3) When the key closing time is smaller than t1 and the immediate key releasing time is greater than t2, store the key value as ‘releasing key value’, (4) When the key closing time is smaller than t1 and the immediate key releasing time is smaller than t2, skip to step (1). The ‘releasing key values’ can be used to represent the numerical and alphabetical keys on typical keypad of phone, while the ‘closing key values’ can be used to represent the function key on typical keypad of phone, so that the complete function of a typical phone keypad can be realized using only one key. Therefore, a phone can be made very small, which can be especially useful when installed on small Bluetooth device that connects to phone, since not only can it answer incoming phone calls, but also making outgoing phone calls.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for processing symbols in contact list entries are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling one or more features of a telephony system via a user device, comprises receiving a selection of a contact in a contact list to establish a communication session from the user device; parsing a dial-string associated with the contact, wherein the dial string includes an identifier and one or more symbols, and wherein the one or more symbols are associated with one or more features of the user device; translating the one or more symbols into instructions to control the one or more features; and initiating the telecommunication session based on the instructions.
Abstract:
Electronic consent for telemarketing calls can be obtained by soliciting consent from an individual using two-dimensional barcodes, such as quick response (“QR”) codes. The QR code can be printed on an advertisement and read by a smart phone. The reading of the QR code causes communication to be originated from the individual's smart phone for the purpose of requesting the individual to be contacted for a particular purpose. The communication can be construed by the enterprise as providing electronic consent for the enterprise to contact the individual with a subsequent telemarketing call. The sender's telephone number and other relevant information can be stored in an electronic consent database used to ensure compliance with appropriate marketing regulations.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and device for communicating, comprising a terminal provided for a user, comprising a display, optionally a camera and a voice input/output unit. Said terminal can be integrated into a network to be part of the local network, can be communicate with a central unit and can be controlled by means of said central unit. Said central unit communicates directly and/or indirectly between the user and any third parties.
