摘要: Methods and systems of managing payment cards are disclosed. A financial institution computing system includes a token database storing a plurality of tokens and token information, a network interface circuit enabling the financial institution computing system to exchange information over a network; and a token management circuit. The token management circuit enables a graphical user interface on a customer device over the network that can be used to generate new token requests, re-provision token requests, and management requests. The management requests enable and disable tokens, such that transactions against a payment card account using an enabled token are completed, and transactions against the payment card account using a disabled token are denied.

摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods for processing gift transactions. An example method includes receiving an identification of a first merchant from a giver at a first time, wherein a gift from the giver to a recipient is redeemable at the first merchant. The method can include generating a policy comprising the first merchant. The policy can be at least in part giver-defined and linked to the recipient payment account. The method can then include transmitting an electronic notice to a recipient device, receiving a selection from the recipient of a second merchant at which to redeem the gift from the giver, updating the policy to apply to the second merchant selected by the recipient to yield an updated policy and, upon receiving an indication of a triggering event caused by use of the recipient payment account as defined by the updated policy, applying an amount of money to the gift.

摘要: A method for peer-to-peer prepaid card accounts can create a prepaid card that can receive donations through a QR code disposed on the physical card. Restrictions can also be placed on the card to control where or how the funds may be used. The method can, in response to receiving a request at a card management service to create an account, obtain account information, wherein the account information comprises a user name, an account number, a QR code image, and optionally a biometric data. The account information can be stored as a card account for the user, which is funded by receiving a payment from a second party using the QR code. Then, when a card holder uses the card for a transaction, the card management service can function as an issuer to authorize its use.

摘要: An account is managed using information read from a dual frequency transponder. Information stored on the dual frequency transponder can be read by a NFC-enabled device and by a UHF RFID reader. The information links, corresponds, or otherwise provides access to account information stored at a remote server. For example, a NFC-enabled device can read the information from the dual frequency transponder and use that information to enable instant and on-the-spot recharging of a toll account. In addition, a UHF RFID toll reader can scan information from the dual frequency transponder and use that information to debit toll charges from the correct toll account. The dual frequency transponder can be embedded in a license plate and read using a reader placed in the road. Additionally, the transponder can be configured to function at the correct frequency only when a valid vehicle registration sticker is applied to the license plate.

摘要: A payment-enabled mobile device receives, during a first tap of the mobile device on a proximity reader component of a point of sale (POS) terminal, first transaction context data for a current transaction, and receives during a second tap of the mobile device on the proximity reader component, second transaction context data for the current transaction. When the mobile device determines that the second tap is for the same transaction as the first tap, and that one of a customer verification method (CVM) status or a user acknowledgment status flag has been set, then it transmits a payment card account number to the POS terminal to consummate the transaction.

摘要: A system for receiving a value on or associated with a consumer card or cellular telephone in lieu of actually receiving coin change from a particular sale of merchandise or services at a point of sale terminal or cash register. Instead of receiving an odd amount of coin change after a purchase, the read/write device can augment a total value either stored on the card or cellular telephone itself or in an account associated with the card or cellular telephone. A consumer can redeem value up to the amount on the card or cellular telephone at participating stores as if it were a gift card.

摘要: A portable electronic card system and a verifying method thereof are provided. The portable electronic card system includes: a portable personal electronic device, a rewritable card, and a writing device. The portable personal electronic device is used for obtaining a certificated code and a personal information from a remote controller. When a bidirectional verifying communication is performed between the remote controller and the portable electronic device to download the personal information, security code stored in the rewritable card be compared with security code stored in the portable electronic device for verifying and writing the personal information into the rewritable card, and another security code is generated to update or replace the original security code stored in the portable electronic device and the rewritable card.
