摘要: A system for providing a restoration reserve power for a power grid including distributed energy resources controlled by at least one control center via control downlinks and adapted to communicate with said control center via communication uplinks, wherein at least one control center is configured to sort the energy resources by characteristics of the links and to provide the restoration reserve power to the power grid by activating sequentially the sorted energy resources starting with energy resources having links providing a short reaction time.

摘要: A method for characterizing buildings, including retrieving a plurality of baseline energy use data sets for the buildings from a baseline data stores; generating energy use data sets for each of the buildings, each of the energy use data sets comprising energy consumption values along with corresponding time and outside temperature values, where the energy consumption values within each of the sets are shifted by one of a plurality of lag values relative to the corresponding time and outside temperature values, and where each of the plurality of lag values is different from other ones of the plurality of lag values; performing a machine learning model analysis on the each of the plurality of energy use data sets to yield corresponding machine learning model parameters and a corresponding residual; determining a least valued residual from all residuals, the least valued residual indicating a corresponding energy lag for the each of the buildings; and categorizing the buildings into types according to similar energy lags.

摘要: An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system includes an AC output, an inverter coupled to the AC output and configured to provide power at the AC output, and a switch configured to selectively couple a generator (e.g., an engine-generator set) to the AC output. The system further includes a control circuit configured to variably modulate the switch to gradually increase control power flow from the generator to the AC output while causing the inverter to concurrently provide power to the AC output. The switch may be a static switch that includes at least one silicon controlled rectifier (SCR), and the control circuit may be configured to control a conduction interval of the at least one SCR to control power flow from the generator to the AC output.

摘要: An uninterruptible power supply device is basically a device that performs a full-time inverter feeding system using a first semiconductor switch, and when a second semiconductor switch, which is an optional item, is connected in parallel to the first semiconductor switch and a full-time bypass feeding system is selected, serves as a device that performs the full-time bypass feeding system using the second semiconductor switch. This leads to a low device cost compared with the case in which an uninterruptible power supply device employing the full-time inverter feeding system and an uninterruptible power supply device employing the full-time feeding system are designed and manufactured separately.

摘要: A controllable electrical outlet may be used to control one or more standard electrical outlets. The controllable electrical outlet may include a first connection configured to be electrically coupled to a hot connection, a second connection configured to be electrically coupled to a standard electrical outlet, and a third connection configured to be electrically coupled to a neutral connection. The controllable electrical outlet may also include a load control circuit, a communication circuit, and a control circuit. The load control circuit may be electrically coupled in series between the first and second screw terminals to control power delivered to the standard electrical outlet, and the control circuit may be coupled to the load control circuit and the communication circuit. The control circuit may be configured to control power delivered to the standard electrical outlet in response to a wireless signal received via the communication circuit.
