    摘要: A semiconductor device is disclosed. The semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate, and a heater element on the semiconductor substrate, the heater element configured to generate heat in response to a current flowing therethrough. The semiconductor device also includes a conductor material having a programmable conductivity, and an insulator layer between the heater element and the conductor material, where the conductor material is configured to be programmed by applying one or more voltage differences to one or more of the heater element and the conductor material, and where a capacitance between the conductor material and the heater element is configured to be controlled by the voltage differences such that the capacitance is lower while the conductor material is being programmed than while the conductor material is not being programmed.

    摘要: A power control circuit includes first and second electrical power terminals connected across a source of electrical power. A heating element is connected to the first terminal. A heating element controller is connected in series with the heating element, between the heating element and the second terminal. The controller is configured to control a temperature level of the element, and includes a control input configured to receive a range of temperature settings, and an OFF command for the element. The controller includes an ON/OFF switch to disconnect the element from the second terminal, and a temperature level control switch to intermittently connect/disconnect the element to the second terminal. A jumper wire series-connects the ON/OFF switch to the temperature level control switch. The ON/OFF switch, the jumper wire, the temperature level control switch, and the element are electrically connected in series.

    摘要: A thermal control power device has a thermal control circuit which includes a power module for getting and dealing with an AC input voltage, a control module, and a switch module having an electromagnetic relay and a driving circuit. The control module includes a microcontroller having a plurality of specific temperature value of constant temperatures therein, a power unit regulating an output voltage of the power module and providing a work voltage for the microcontroller, a temperature setting switch making choice of one of the constant temperatures, and a thermal detector detecting an environment temperature under which an external electric appliance works. The microcontroller compares the environment temperature with the constant temperature and then sends out corresponding control signals. The driving circuit controls switch states of the electromagnetic relay according to the control signals so as to further automatically control the electric appliance on-off.

    摘要: An appliance for a hotplate has two heating devices installed parallel to one another. With an energy control device and as a function of an angular position, either a first heating device is operated in controlled manner or a second heating device is connected thereto in fixed form. The power of the second heating device is defined so low that no temperature limiter for protecting a glass ceramic plate has to be provided in the control path of the second heating device. On connecting in the second heating device, the controlled power of the first heating device is lowered to an initial value by roughly the amount of the power of the second heating device. The total power results from the summated power of the two heating devices.

    摘要: A three-phase thermal protector includes a hermetic receptacle composed of an elliptic dome-shaped cover having an opening at one end and a header plate having two terminal pins extending through respective apertures formed in it, and a switch assembly mounted in the receptacle. Two fixed contacts are secured to the respective terminal pins. The switch assembly includes a metal operating temperature calibrating plate with one end welded to the cover, a bimetallic thermally responsive element having one end secured to the calibrating plate and the other end having a central dish-shaped portion, and a thermally-responsive-element support to which the supported end of the thermally responsive element is welded. The thermally responsive element carries two movable contacts symmetrical about the center line. The calibrating plate has a push projection pushing the thermally responsive element so that the contact pressure is increased when the calibrating plate is deformed with deformation of the cover for the calibration of the operating temperature. The header plate has a protrusion receiving the thermally responsive element at a position away from its supported end toward the center.

    摘要: A remotely changeable thermostat for a refrigeration or air conditioning system and method and system employing same. The thermostat has a fluid filled capsule with a diaphragm movably responsive to fluid expansion and contraction for actuating, via lever means, a compressor power switch. The capsule senses temperature via a fluid filled capillary. A separate remote user activated switch energizes an electrical actuator for moving the fulcrum of the lever means to change the sensed temperature of the evaporator at which the power switch is actuated. The user activates a remote switch to energize an electrical heater coil for heating a bimetal strip which moves the fulcrum for the lever means between a high or low temperature setting for compressor power switch actuation in response to user opening or closing the remote heater switch.

    摘要: A thermostat is disclosed which has a moveable backstop in order to fulfill a requirement in many countries that a 3 millimeter contact gap be provided for the thermostat to qualify as an electrical disconnect. The thermostat is comprised of a setting wheel having a ramp formed thereon, a lever, a plunger and a backstop slidably connected to the frame of the thermostat. The lever contacts the ramp on the setting wheel and is moved by rotation of the setting wheel. One end of the plunger is in contact with the lever, the other end being in contact with the backstop. When movement of the setting wheel causes movement of the lever, the plunger is moved in an axial direction thereof, thus causing movement of the backstop. The ramp is positioned on the setting wheel such that the backstop is moved when the setting wheel is turned to an off position.

    摘要: An electric toaster oven construction wherein a unique rotatable cam, cam follower and control panel construction accurately sets the threshold temperature of a thermostat switch. The rotatable cam is loosely mounted in the control panel and the cam follower urges the cam against a projection on the control panel to thereby sense the thickness of the cam between the projection on the control panel and the cam follower. With this construction, the height of the cam is accurately sensed although the cam may be warped or out of perpendicular with its shaft.

    摘要: A thermally responsive snap-acting switch consists of an elastic plate cantilever mounted at one end on a header, a thermally responsive element which includes a central dish-shaped portion for inducing snap action and one end of which is connected with the other end of the elastic plate in an opposed relation to the elastic plate, a support one end of which includes a portion receiving a connection between the elastic plate and the thermally responsive element so that it slides and is inclined on the receiving portion, and a projection which exerts a force on the dish-shaped portion of the thermally responsive element to calibrate the operative temperature of the thermally responsive element. The calibration is performed either by employing a screwed stud as the projection or by plastically deforming the receiving portion of the support.
