摘要: Provided is a method for regulating a thermal boundary conductance between a metal and an insulator, including: arranging a metal on a surface of an insulator, a contact surface between the metal and the insulator being a boundary between the metal and the insulator; and the insulator including a ferroelectric, a piezoelectric, or a pyroelectric; applying an external electric field or stress to the ferroelectric, and adjusting a magnitude of the external electric field or stress, or an included angle between a direction of the external electric field or stress with the boundary to regulate the thermal boundary conductance; or applying a stress to the piezoelectric, and adjusting a magnitude of the stress, or an included angle between a direction of the stress with the boundary to regulate the thermal boundary conductancer; or adjusting a temperature of the pyroelectric to regulate the thermal boundary conductance.

摘要: A method of enhancing surface electrical conductivity of an article formed of a conductive polymer material, such as a conductive polymer film, includes the step of providing an article formed of a conductive polymer . The conductive polymer is made up of a dielectric polymeric material and conductive fibers. A desired pressure is applied to at least a portion of the article while simultaneously heating at least a portion of the article to a desired temperature. The desired pressure and the desired temperature are maintained on at least a portion of the article for a desired time period. This method reduces a polymer-rich skin layer on the surface of the conductive polymer material and helps to randomize the orientation of the conductive fibers on the surface.

摘要: A shielded cable comprising two insulated wire covered with first and second metal clad resin tapes each of which has a laminated metal layer and a resin layer. The first metal clad resin tape covers the circumference of the two insulated wires by open-wrapping and the second metal clad resin tape is spirally wrapped around the circumference of the first metal clad resin tape. The first and second metal clad resin tapes are disposed while the metal layers face each other and, in the portion where the second metal clad resin tape is overlapped by wrapping, the metal layer of the overlapped one second metal clad resin tape and the metal layer of the other second metal clad resin tape are in contact with the first metal clad resin tape. The shielded cable can prevent sharp signal attenuation in a high frequency region and is easy to bend and flexible.

摘要: Nanocomposite films comprising conductive nanofiller dispersed throughout a polymer matrix and further comprising at least two surfaces with differing amounts of filler and differing electrical resistivity values are provided. In particular, nanocomposites comprising polyvinyl alcohol as the polymer matrix and nanosheets and/or nanoplatelets of graphene as the conductive filler are provided. In addition, a process for forming the nanocomposites, methods for characterizing the nanocomposites as well as applications in or on electrical and/or electronic devices are provided.
