摘要: The present disclosure provides apparatuses including display driver circuits and operating methods thereof. In some embodiments, an electronic device includes a display panel, a nonvolatile memory, and a display driver circuit configured to receive frame data through a video interface channel, generate compensated frame data by compensating for the frame data by using compensation data, and send the compensated frame data to the display panel. The display driver circuit includes a display memory configured to store the compensation data, a compensation circuit configured to generate the compensated frame data from the frame data, a buffer memory, and a backup controller configured to monitor a status of the compensation circuit, and, when the compensation circuit is in an idle state, read partial data among the compensation data from the display memory, and write data present in the buffer memory in the nonvolatile memory.

摘要: The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for data transfer in LED display. A signal signaling a timing for a next data transfer is received. In response to the signal, a next data transfer instruction is obtained that instructs reading a bit-based image block of an image from a memory. The bit-based image block is transferred, according to the next data transfer instruction, from the memory via a bus connected thereto, to one of a pair of alternate buffers pointed to by a write buffer pointer. Then, the write buffer pointer is toggled to point to another of the pair of alternate buffers and the process repeats. The bit-based image blocks alternately stored in the buffers are later retrieved and displayed on the LED display.

摘要: Various techniques for providing a fault-tolerant graphics display engine are disclosed herein. In an example, a machine identifies a buffer under-run at a data buffer (DBUF) of a display engine. The machine adjusts a latency tolerance of the DBUF in response to identifying the buffer under-run. The machine determines that the buffer under-run at the DBUF persists after adjusting the latency tolerance. The machine determines whether a preset correction limit has been reached. If the preset correction limit has not been reached, the machine further adjusts the latency tolerance of the DBUF. If the preset correction limit has been reached, the machine removes, from a visual output associated with the display engine, one or more non-critical display assets.

The at least one processor is configured to receive a synchronization signal request corresponding to a first process initiated by the at least one processor from the at least one processor, determine whether the first process is for displaying an image in response to the synchronization signal request, and control an activation state of the display driver integrated circuit for displaying the image based on a determination result. The memory is configured to store instructions for the at least one processor to initiate and run the first process.
