Abstract: A display control device for a vehicle includes a memory and a processor connected to the memory. The processor is configured to display an object display and a lane display at a display section provided in a cabin of the vehicle. The object display depicts an object located in front of the vehicle, the lane display depicts a lane extending in front of the vehicle, and the object display and lane display are each displayed as a view thereof from the side of the object at which the vehicle is disposed. The processor is also configured to, in accordance with a distance between the object and the vehicle, alter a display ratio of the object display relative to a width of the lane display.

Abstract: A frame rate control method is provided. A primary scenario and a non-primary scenario are identified according to two or more windows displayed on a screen. Each of the primary scenario and the non-primary scenario is performed by an individual application. A frame rate of the non-primary scenario is decreased when a performance index indicates that a first condition is present. The application corresponding to the non-primary scenario is disabled when the performance index indicates that a second condition is present after decreasing the frame rate of the non-primary scenario, so as to remove the window corresponding to the non-primary scenario from the screen.

Abstract: A display device comprises a waveguide configured to guide light in a lateral direction parallel to an output surface of the waveguide. The waveguide is further configured to outcouple the guided light through the output surface. The display device additionally comprises a broadband adaptive lens assembly configured to incouple and to diffract therethrough the outcoupled light from the waveguide. The broadband adaptive lens assembly comprises a first waveplate lens comprising a liquid crystal (LC) layer arranged such that the waveplate lens has birefringence (Δn) that varies in a radially outward direction from a central region of the first waveplate lens and configured to diffract the outcoupled light at a diffraction efficiency greater than 90% within a wavelength range including at least 450 nm to 630 nm. The broadband adaptive lens assembly is configured to be selectively switched between a plurality of states having different optical powers.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a multifunction device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface creates a plurality of workspace views. A respective workspace view is configured to contain content assigned by a user to the respective workspace view. The content includes application windows. The device displays a first workspace view in the plurality of workspace views on the display without displaying other workspace views in the plurality of workspace views and detects a first multifinger gesture on the touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the first multifinger gesture on the touch-sensitive surface, the device replaces display of the first workspace view with concurrent display of the plurality of workspace views.
