Abstract: A method includes displaying a bitmap of unique groups of colored tiles on the display screen and reading a color value of a first pixel in a first tile in the bitmap. Color values of tiles within the first tile's group are determined. The position of the first pixel within the first tile is determined. The position of the first tile's group within the bitmap and the position of the first tile within the bitmap are also determined. The position of the first pixel in the bitmap and the position of the bitmap on the display screen are calculated. A performance metric is calculated based at least in part on the position of the bitmap on the display screen.

Abstract: An optical evaluation workstation evaluates quality metrics (e.g., sharpness, blemishes) of eyecup assemblies of a head mounted display (HMD). The workstation includes an eyecup assembly feeder, a camera, and a control module. The eyecup assembly feeder is configured to receive an eyecup assembly of a HMD, the eyecup assembly comprising an optics block rigidly fixed at a first distance to an electronic display panel. The camera is configured to capture one or more images of the one or more test patterns presented by the electronic display panel through the optics block. The control module is configured to modify at least one image of the one or more images using a transform, and determine a quality metric for the modified at least one image.

Abstract: A method and system generates and compares sub-fingerprints for videos. Sub-fingerprints of a video provide representations of characteristics of portions of video content of the video. Sub-fingerprints can be used to determine whether a video includes video content of another video effectively. The video can include other video content to visually appear different from the other video. When a sub-fingerprint of the video matches a fingerprint of the other video, the video includes video content of the other video. Motions of video content of the video can be tracked to identify regions of video frames that include image content that includes motion. Sub-images can created and used to create sub-fingerprints of the video.

Abstract: A method of inspecting plants for contamination includes generating a first series of images of a plant using a camera mounted to a frame being moved along a planting bed by a harvester, identifying a region of interest displayed in the first series of images as a region of contamination on the plant based on a color criterion and a morphological criterion applied to the region of interest, and transmitting data including an instruction to increase a vertical distance between the plant and a cutter of the harvester to avoid harvesting the plant in response to identifying the region of interest as the region of contamination. The method further includes generating a second series of images of an additional plant as the frame continues to be moved along the planting bed by the harvester while the vertical distance between the plant and the cutter is being increased.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems may provide for creating a reference signal for a restoration process using a plurality of pixels corresponding to various color channels within a spatial neighborhood of a target pixel location. Additionally, first weights may be set in pixel locations within the spatial neighborhood to control contributions of pixel values and values of the reference signal in calculating one or more intermediate restoration factors. Moreover, second weights may be set in pixel locations within the spatial neighborhood to control contributions of the intermediate restoration factors in calculating one or more final restoration factors. In one example, at least one of the one or more final restoration factors and the reference signal are combined in the target pixel location to restore one or more values in the target pixel location.
