摘要: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging optical system that forms an optical signal, an imaging device that includes a plurality of pixels and that converts the optical signal formed on the plurality of pixels into an electrical signal, a color filter that is arranged between the imaging optical system and the imaging device and that has a different optical transmittance for each of the plurality of pixels and each of a plurality of wavelength ranges, and a transmission data compression circuit that compresses the electrical signal obtained by the imaging device. The sum of products of an optical transmittance group relating to a plurality of optical transmittances of the color filter for each of the plurality of pixels in the plurality of wavelength ranges and coefficients common to the plurality of pixels is the same between the plurality of pixels.

The signal processing unit includes a luminance signal processing unit that generates luminance values of the first pixels based on signals output from the second pixels and a false color determination unit that determines a presence or absence of false color based on a result of comparison between the luminance values of the first pixels generated by the luminance signal processing unit and a predetermined threshold value.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for processing spectral imaging (SI) data. A training operation estimates reconstruction matrices based on a spectral mosaic of an SI sensor, generates directionally interpolated maximum a-priori (MAP) estimations of image data based on the estimated reconstruction matrices. The training operation may determine filter coefficients for each of a number of cross-band interpolation filters based at least in part on the MAP estimations, and may determine edge classification factors based at least in part on the determined filter coefficients. The training operation may configure a cross-band interpolation circuit based at least in part on the determined filter coefficients and the determined edge classification factors. The configured cross-band interpolation circuit captures mosaic data using the SI sensor, and recovers full-resolution spectral data from the captured mosaic data.

摘要: The polarization imaging unit generates a polarized image including pixels for each of a plurality of polarization components. The demosaicing unit calculates a pixel signal for each polarization component by using the pixel signal of the target pixel of the polarized image and the pixel signal of the pixel for each of the identical polarization components located near the target pixel. In one example, a low frequency component is calculated for each polarization component using the pixel signal of the pixel located near the target pixel for each of the identical polarization components. In addition, component information indicating relationship between the low frequency component of the polarization component of the polarized image and the pixel signal of the target pixel is acquired. Furthermore, the pixel signal for each polarization component in the target pixel is calculated based on the low frequency component and the component information for each polarization component.

摘要: Mixed mode imaging is implemented using a single-chip image capture sensor with a color filter array. The single-chip image capture sensor captures a frame including a first set of pixel data and a second set of pixel data. The first set of pixel data includes a first combined scene, and the second set of pixel data includes a second combined scene. The first combined scene is a first weighted combination of a fluorescence scene component and a visible scene component due to the leakage of a color filter array. The second combined scene includes a second weighted combination of the fluorescence scene component and the visible scene component. Two display scene components are extracted from the captured pixel data in the frame and presented on a display unit.

摘要: An image sensor may have an array of image sensor pixels arranged in color filter unit cells each having one red image pixel that generates red image signals, one blue image pixel that generate blue image signals, and two clear image sensor pixels that generate white image signals. The image sensor may be coupled to processing circuitry that performs filtering operations on the red, blue, and white image signals to increase noise correlations in the image signals that reduce noise amplification when applying a color correction matrix to the image signals. The processing circuitry may extract a green image signal from the white image signal. The processing circuitry may compute a scaling value that includes a linear combination of the red, blue, white and green image signals. The scaling value may be applied to the red, blue, and green image signals to produce corrected image signals having improved image quality.
