Abstract: A system having a locator device and a plurality of tag devices is disclosed. The locator device comprises an antenna array allowing it to determine an angle of arrival for incoming signals from each of the plurality of tag devices. The system also defines a sequence of time slots, where each time slot has a specific function. The sequence may start with a locator time slot, where the locator device transmits a packet that informs all of the tag devices that this is the start of the sequence. A sync slot follows the locator time slot, where new tag devices may transmit a sync request to the locator device. Upon receipt of a sync request, the locator device assigns the new tag device a tag slot. Following the sync slot are a plurality of tag slots, where each tag device transmits an AoA packet during its assigned tag slot.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating the sorting of assets to sort locations. In various embodiments, a sort employee scans an asset indicia using a user device, which stores asset data corresponding to the stored asset. As the sort employee nears a sort location (e.g., a delivery vehicle) with the asset and the user device, the user device automatically communicates wirelessly with a sort location receiver to associate the asset data with data indicative of the sort location where the user deposits the asset. In various embodiments, a device may determine whether the user device is proximate the appropriate sort location for the item, and may generate an alert upon a determination that the user device is proximate an incorrect sort location.

Abstract: Devices and methods for providing a retrievable record of the times of the actual aircraft movements such as the Gate Out time when the aircraft leaves the gate or parking position, the Wheels Off time when the aircraft takes off, the Wheels On time when the aircraft touches down during landing, and the Gate In time when the aircraft arrives at the gate or parking position (OOOI times). A mobile device for logging data onboard an aircraft comprises: a motion sensor; a clock; a non-transitory tangible computer-readable storage medium for storing motion data from the motion sensor and associated time data from the clock; and a data processing system configured to identify stored motion data representing respective acceleration/deceleration vectors of the mobile device motions that correspond to aircraft gate departure and arrival and aircraft takeoff and landing. The OOOI times are automatically logged in the non-transitory tangible computer-readable storage medium.

Abstract: A mobile device receives signals from base stations each with multiple distributed transceivers. Each distributed transceiver may operate at different carrier frequencies. Each distributed transceiver is equipped with an independently configurable antenna array handling transmissions of the radio frequency signals to the mobile device. The mobile device generates channel measurements for the received signals, and subsequently receives a position estimate from a remote location server. The location server determines corresponding transmit diversity configurations applied to the base stations for conducting the channel measurements for the mobile device, and channel measurements at scanned locations in a location scanning region. The location server selects and utilize a signature function to calculate the position estimate for the mobile device over the transmit diversity configurations. A multi-level positioning process may be performed by adopting various signature functions, subsets of transmit configurations and/or subspaces of the location scanning region for accurate device positioning.

The method includes: determining, by a server, a positioning measurement parameter, and generating measurement configuration information carrying the positioning measurement parameter, where the positioning measurement parameter is a parameter that the server requests a terminal to measure and is used to position the terminal; sending, by the server, the measurement configuration information to the terminal through a base station; receiving, by the server through the base station, configuration response information returned by the terminal, where the configuration response information carries a positioning response parameter, and the positioning response parameter is a measurement result generated after the terminal measures the positioning measurement parameter; and positioning, by the server, the terminal according to the positioning response parameter carried in the configuration response information.
