摘要: An analytical instrument assembly includes a gas chromatograph, a first detector, a second detector, and a pneumatic control module. The gas chromatograph includes a flow splitter configured to receive a sample. The first detector is coupled to the flow splitter. The second detector is coupled to the flow splitter. The pneumatic control module is coupled to the flow splitter and configured to deliver a carrier gas to the flow splitter. The flow splitter is configured to split the sample and deliver at least a first portion of the sample to the first detector and at least a second portion of the sample to the second detector at a first split ratio. The pneumatic control module is configured to deliver one of (i) a makeup flow including a third portion of the carrier gas to the flow splitter or (ii) an exhaust flow out of the flow splitter, wherein the pneumatic control module is configured to regulate the pressure within the flow splitter to thereby maintain the first split ratio at a substantially constant value.

摘要: A system and method for detecting a fluid mixture are provided. The system includes a pipeline assembly, a first valve, a gas chromatograph and a vacuum pump. The pipeline assembly includes a first pipeline and a second pipeline. The first valve is connected to the first pipeline and controls a flow of the fluid mixture obtained from a reaction in a reactor. The gas chromatograph is provided with a sample injection end and a sample output end, where the sample injection end is connected to an end of the first pipeline away from the first valve; and the sample output end is connected to the second pipeline. The vacuum pump is connected to an end of the second pipeline away from the gas chromatograph.

摘要: An efficient absorption spectroscopy system is provided. The spectroscopy system may be configured to measure solid, liquid or gaseous samples. Vacuum ultra-violet wavelengths may be utilized. Some of the disclosed techniques can be used for detecting the presence of trace concentrations of gaseous species. A preferable gas flow cell is disclosed. Some of the disclosed techniques may be used with a gas chromatography system so as to detect and identify species eluted from the column. Some of the disclosed techniques may be used in conjunction with an electrospray interface and a liquid chromatography system so as to detect and identify gas phase ions of macromolecules produced from solution. Some of the disclosed techniques may be used to characterize chemical reactions. Some of the disclosed techniques may be used in conjunction with an ultra short-path length sample cell to measure liquids.

摘要: A chromatographic apparatus includes two chromatographic columns configured to perform chromatography. The apparatus further includes a primary valve disposed upstream of the first chromatographic column and the second chromatographic column. The primary valve selectively switches between a first position in which the pump is in fluid communication with a first path that includes the first chromatographic column and a second position in which the pump is in fluid communication with a second path that includes the second chromatographic column. The apparatus also includes a first and a second sample injection port associated with said first and second columns, respectively, and at least one detector. The apparatus is configured such that flow from the column in the selected path goes to said at least one detector without passing through the other column.
