Abstract: A solar power system can include a rail and a solar module disposed on the rail. A clamp assembly can couple the solar module to the rail. The clamp assembly can have a clamped configuration in which the solar module is secured to the rail and an unclamped configuration. The clamp assembly can comprise an upper clamp member, a lower clamp member coupled to the rail, and a stabilization member mechanically engaging the upper clamp member and the lower clamp member. The stabilization member can prevent rotation of the lower clamp member relative to the rail when the clamp assembly is in the clamped and unclamped configurations. In the unclamped configuration, the stabilization member can be biased such that the upper clamp member is disposed at a sufficient clearance above the rail to permit the insertion of the solar module between the upper clamp member and the rail.

Abstract: A roof mounting system for the attachment of an article to a roof, the system comprising a plurality of PV modules each having at least one corner and a frame member, a flashing member having a top surface; an upstanding sleeve attached to the top surface of the flashing member; an elevated water seal having a borehole formed therethrough, the elevated water seal further comprising at least one screw for providing a waterproof seal between the article and the roof structure; and whereby the plurality of PV modules are interlocked in a way to provide a corner-to-corner coupling arrangement supported above the roof through the frame members of the plurality of PV modules.

Abstract: A system includes a plurality of photovoltaic modules installed on a roof deck in an array. Each of the photovoltaic modules includes a wire cover bracket substantially aligned with the wire cover bracket of an adjacent another one of the photovoltaic modules. At least one cover is removably attached to at least one of the wire cover brackets. The cover includes a top portion, a first side portion extending from a first side of the top portion, and a second side portion extending from a second side of the top portion opposite the first side. The top portion of the at least one cover is configured to divert water from entering the wire cover bracket from above the at least one cover. The first and second side portions are configured to divert water from entering the wire cover bracket from a lateral direction relative to the wire cover bracket.

Abstract: A mount for support of a component on a surface is provided. A base includes a bottom adapted to be supported on the surface, a circuit component, and a data pathway extending from the circuit component. A compressible component is mounted above the base and in electrical contact with the data pathway of the base, the compressible component having an uncompressed state in which the circuit component is not electrically accessible through the compressible component, and a compressed state in which a data pathway is formed through the compressible component such that the data pathway of the base is electrically accessible through the compressible component. The compressible component is adapted to transition from the uncompressed state to the compressed state in response to a lag bolt passing through the compressible component and base and applying sufficient downward pressure to secure the base to the surface.

Abstract: In various representative aspects, an assembly for securing a solar panel rail support structure to a tile roof. More specifically, the apparatus includes a base plate that is secured to the roof beneath various shapes of tiles on the tile roof and a generally L-shaped bracket that is then coupled to a rail support guide. The bracket is then capable of being adjusted in various locations along the base plate by utilizing a spring lock mechanism.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for mounting a solar panel to a surface includes a mounting base. The mounting base supports a fastener. A module mount has a module mount sidewall supporting the fastener. The module mount is movable with respect to the fastener when the fastener is received through the module mount opening. A first distance between a bottom surface of the module mount and a top surface of the mounting base is adjustable. A mounting clamp has a mounting clamp sidewall defining a mounting clamp opening through which the fastener is received. The mounting clamp is movable with respect to the fastener when the fastener is received through the mounting clamp opening such that a second distance between a bottom surface of the mounting clamp and a top surface of the module mount is adjustable. The solar panel is mounted between the mounting clamp and the module mount.
