Abstract: The present disclosure provides a cooling system facilitating thermal management in a solar photovoltaic (PV) module. The cooling system includes an exhaust fan, operatively coupled to an outlet of a central air conditioning module, the outlet carries waste air from the central air conditioning module. A supporting structure is placed at a predefined distance in front of the exhaust fan to support one or more solar panels. The one or more solar panels are tilted at a predefined angle and a predefined azimuth configured to provide maximum surface area of the back units of the one or more solar panels. The exhaust fan is further configured to direct the waste air and surrounding air towards the back units of the one or more solar panels at a predefined temperature.

Abstract: A support structure for a fixed-tilt solar collector comprises front and rear concrete ballasts extending in a direction parallel to a row of one or more PV panels and a racking structure configured to support the one or more PV panels such that a normal vector of the one or more PV panels is at a fixed angle. At least one stringer is arranged in a direction parallel to the front and rear concrete ballasts. First and second rails are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the stringers. The first and second rails are fastened to and support the at least one stringer. The first and second rails are fastened to the front concrete ballast. Legs are fastened to and support at least one of i) the at least one stringer or ii) the first and second rails. The legs are fastened to the rear concrete ballast.

Abstract: A window structure is configured to form a principal chamber enclosing a first window pane installed in an exterior wall of a building. The window structure includes a first surface configured to absorb solar energy and a main frame including a second window pane. An axial hinge is configured to allow to the main frame to tilt between a first position and a second position. When the main frame is tilted in the first position, the first surface is positioned in a first orientation that allows the first surface to directly receive sunlight through the second window pane. When the main frame is tilted in the second position, the first surface is positioned in a second orientation in which the first surface is prevented from directly receiving sunlight through the second window pane. The window structure may be used for ventilating the structure and shading during the warm weather.

Abstract: A window assembly can include an insulated glass unit, a mounting assembly moveably coupled to the insulated glass unit, and an electrical component secured to the mounting assembly. A method can include securing an electrical component to a mounting assembly, coupling the mounting assembly to an insulated glass unit, and installing the insulating glass unit in a frame. In an embodiment, after the window assembly is installed within the frame, the mounting assembly can be moved in a final position and securely fastened into position. In an embodiment, the pre-assembly can help to keep all components of a window assembly together during shipping and at the installation site to reduce the likelihood that components are separated or lost during shipping or at the installation site.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for mounting a solar collector panel by itself or supported within a frame, to a surface comprising: a strap assembly, a first attachment device attached to and between the panel or frame and the strap assembly; and a second attachment means for attaching the strap assembly to the surface. The strap assembly comprises a plurality of straps attached end to end. The first attachment device could be a bolt, a screw, adhesive, etc. Alternatively, there could be a support between the panel or frame and the strap assembly. The second attachment means may be: a nail, a spike, adhesive, bolting to a stud attached to the surface, welding, ballast, adhesive tape or combinations of these.
