摘要: A method for lifting a payload of an offshore platform is provided. The offshore platform comprises a support structure supporting the payload. The payload includes a main deck and a column directly connected to the support structure, the column supporting the main deck. The method includes coupling a plurality of tension rods to a lower lifting device, having a welding surface weldable to a welding portion of the column and an upper lifting device having a coupling interface such that the plurality of tension rods connect the lower lifting device and the upper lifting device. The plurality of extendable tension rods can extend along a rod direction between the lower lifting device and the upper lifting device to separate the payload from the support structure. At least some of the tension rods of the plurality of tension rods are pre-tensioned to exert a compressive action to the payload.

摘要: A method and system for the offshore production of fuel includes an offshore marine platform on which is mounted a hydrogen production unit. The hydrogen production unit may produce hydrogen utilizing raw materials sourced adjacent the marine platform, including seawater and electricity from offshore wind turbines. The produced hydrogen may then be blended onboard the marine platform with liquefied natural gas delivered to the marine platform in order to produce a blended fuel comprised of the delivered natural gas and a portion of the produced hydrogen. The blended fuel may be subsequently liquified and transported away from the marine platform, or conveyed to a remote location via a seabed pipeline, or combusted by onboard combustion turbines that can in turn drive electric generators onboard the marine platform to produce electricity.

摘要: A method is provided for removing an abandoned marine platform from a seabed. The platform extends below the seabed mud line. In order to remove the platform, a frame is provided having a perimeter that surrounds an open center. The frame is lowered over the platform wherein the platform occupies the open center portion. A movable cutter cable is fitted to the frame. At least a part of the cutter cable is positioned below the mud line. The cutter is moved relative to the frame to cut the platform below the mud line. Such movement can be a back and forth movement wherein the cutter cable moves in a first direction, stops and then moves in a second direction that is generally opposite the first direction. A lifting device can employ two vessels and two frames, each frame bridging from one vessel to the other. Winches on the vessel can be used to provide movement to the cutter cable. These same winches can take up cable slack as cutting moves from one platform member (e.g. leg, jacket leg, piling, etc) to another.

摘要: An apparatus for supporting an additional structure near a surface of a body of water, and a system which includes the apparatus and further includes the structure attached to the apparatus. The apparatus and the system are each configured to assume a rest position and orientation when the apparatus or system is floating at the surface and when the body of water is substantially still, where the rest orientation defines a vertical direction extending from the surface to a keel at a lowermost position of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a support member, which, in use, is attached to the additional structure; and buoyant units. Each buoyant unit is attached to the support member at or near the keel and extends from the keel in a longitudinal direction of the buoyant unit, which longitudinal direction defines an angle of approximately 35°-65° with respect to the vertical direction.

A device may include an interface configured to receive a signal indicative of motions of an offshore unit. The device may also include a memory configured to store a set of values corresponding to acceptable motions of the offshore unit, as well as a processor configured to determine if a measured motion of the offshore unit exceeds at least one value of the set of values and generate an indication that going on location by the offshore unit can be undertaken when the processor determines that the measured motion of the offshore unit is less than or equal to the at least one value.
