Abstract: A solar power system can include a rail and a solar module disposed on the rail. A clamp assembly can couple the solar module to the rail. The clamp assembly can have a clamped configuration in which the solar module is secured to the rail and an unclamped configuration. The clamp assembly can comprise an upper clamp member, a lower clamp member coupled to the rail, and a stabilization member mechanically engaging the upper clamp member and the lower clamp member. The stabilization member can prevent rotation of the lower clamp member relative to the rail when the clamp assembly is in the clamped and unclamped configurations. In the unclamped configuration, the stabilization member can be biased such that the upper clamp member is disposed at a sufficient clearance above the rail to permit the insertion of the solar module between the upper clamp member and the rail.

Abstract: An insertion rail for a solar panel mounting system is provided. The insertion rail has a mounting wall configured for connection to the solar panel mounting system, wherein the mounting wall is posited at a lower end of a first side of the insertion rail, a vertical leg coupled to the mounting wall at least one location, wherein the vertical leg is positioned at a second side of the insertion rail, and at least one mating section located at an upper end of the insertion rail. The mating section has an upper tab, a lower tab and the upper tab and lower tab are configured to receive and secure a solar panel integrally therewith using an interference fit.

Abstract: In an aspect, the present disclosure describes a system for constructing a solar module array. The system can comprise one or more mobile platforms; one or more carriers operatively coupled to the one or more mobile platforms, wherein the one or more carriers support a plurality of posts and/or a plurality of solar modules; one or more robotic components for retrieving one or more posts from the plurality of posts and one or more solar modules from the plurality of solar modules from the one or more carriers; and at least one controller in operative communication with the one or more mobile platforms and the one or more robotic components, wherein the at least one controller (i) directs the one or more mobile platforms to transport the one or more carriers over a terrain and (ii) controls the one or more robotic components to (1) autonomously position and install the one or more posts on the terrain, and (2) autonomously position and assemble the one or more solar module to the one or more posts installed on the terrain to thereby construct the solar module array on the terrain.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a water diversion and grounding system for supporting multiple solar panels. The system can have an assembly with a top member, a bottom member, and a compression member, all of the same length. The top and bottom members can be made of aluminum or carbon steel, can be secured to the compression member, made of rubber, using fasteners. The top member has vertical and horizontal extensions, and the bottom member includes a support with vertical and horizontal extensions and a peripheral vertical member. The assembly is designed such that the base, support, and compression member have aligned holes for the insertion of fasteners. When tightened, these fasteners compress the compression member, clamping the solar panel between the base and the support.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for vertical solar panels. Prefabricated and/or preassembled solar panels may be deployed fast, for example, by using a special packaging. Support structures may be easily installed to support (e.g., hang) the solar panels. The solar panels may be pretensioned and/or comprise structural designs (e.g., holes, frames, flexibility, etc.) to have reliability and/or longevity under a hanging condition and wind impact. The heights of vertically-installed solar panels may be dynamically adjusted, for example, based on inputs from sensors and/or time of day. Inter-row shading may be changed based on height adjustment among multiple rows of vertical solar panels.
