摘要: A filter for removing particles held in suspension by a fluid. The filter includes (a) a manifold having an inlet and an outlet; and (b) a main filter body connected to the manifold. The main filter body includes a flow disrupter, the flow disrupter comprising a tiered plate assembly arranged in the filter body and each plate in the tiered plate assembly comprises an arrangement of apertures. The inlet of the manifold, the tiered plate assembly, the outlet of the manifold and a bottom of the main filter body define a flow path for fluid to be treated.

摘要: A flushing bypass system, particularly for use in a district or communal heating system, has a primary circuit 2 capable of supplying heat to a secondary circuit 10, the secondary circuit normally supplying heating through radiators 11 and/or hot water from tank 14 for occupants. The primary circuit has a furcated strainer 3 upstream from at least one heat exchanger and a limb of the furcated strainer is connected to a heat exchanger bypass assembly. The bypass assembly comprises a valve 21, which may be a timer valve, a manual valve or a smart valve, having an input 20 connected to the furcated strainer and an output 24 connected back into the primary circuit downstream of the heat exchanger. When the valve 21 is closed fluid passes through the furcated strainer to the heat exchanger and when the valve is open, fluid bypasses the heat exchanger and flushes contaminants from the furcated strainer back to the primary circuit downstream of the heat exchanger.

摘要: A controller of a heat pump water heating system drives circulation pumps, and uses a heat pump unit to increase a temperature of tank water within a hot water storage tank via a plate heat exchanger if the temperature of the tank water detected from a temperature sensor is lower than a heat source switch tank temperature, and the controller stops one of the circulation pump, drives other circulation pumps, and uses a boiler to increase the temperature of the tank water within the hot water storage tank via the plate heat exchanger in a shorter time than that of a case in which the heat pump unit is used to increase the temperature if the temperature of the tank water detected from the temperature sensor is equal to or higher than the heat source switch tank temperature.

摘要: A heat recovery system arranged to heat water includes at least one heat exchanger (9) arranged to heat water by heat exchange with waste heat. A storage reservoir (11) is arranged to store water heated by the heat exchanger (9). The heat exchanger (9) is switchable between a first mode of operation in which water is circulated by a pump (12) in a circuit that includes the storage reservoir (11) and the heat exchanger (9), and a second mode of operation in which water is circulated by the pump (12) in a circuit that by-passes the heat exchanger (9). Heated water of at least a desired minimum temperature can be supplied to at least one outlet during both the first and second modes of operation.
