摘要: A sludge separator, in particular for a vehicle washing system, has a sedimentation tank with a side wall and a base. The tank is divided into a lower sedimentation region, an intermediate region, and an upper fluid exchange region. The sludge separator has an inlet for supplying a fluid carrying solid particles into the tank, the inlet including an end section having an inlet opening. The inlet opening is arranged in the upper fluid exchange region and opens into the tank in a horizontal plane in a peripheral region of the tank. The sludge separator also has an outlet for discharging fluid out of the tank, the outlet having an outlet opening arranged in the upper fluid exchange region. The end section is orientated such that supplied fluid flows into the tank tangentially, and the outlet opening is arranged in a central region of the tank in a horizontal plane.

摘要: A 3D time series vector sediment trap includes a base disposed with trap pipes which includes water flow pipes and sedimentation pipes. The water flow pipes have a horizontal water inlet at the front end, a vertical downward water outlet at the back end and the water flow pipe is internally provided with a filter screen which tilts towards the water inlet. The filter screen is internally tangential to the water flow pipe, and the sedimentation pipes are vertically fixed underneath the water flow pipes. The top end of the sedimentation pipes have an opening and bottom end thereof is closed. The opening is connected to the water flow pipe and directly faces the filter screen so that materials with a diameter greater than the screen pore diameter are intercepted by the filter screen in the water flow pipe and collected in the sedimentation pipe.

摘要: A feedwell comprising a plurality of holes disposed in a bottom thereof, at least some of the holes having a tube disposed thereabout which extends downward or otherwise away from an interior of the feedwell. Optionally, a large center hole can be provided and it can have a tube disposed around it. By providing a plurality of holes spread across a large portion of the bottom of the feedwell, lower velocity flow rates from the feedwell to a sedimentation chamber can be provided, thus reducing induced turbulence in the fluid within the sedimentation chamber, while still providing sufficient separation of the feedwell from the sedimentation chamber so that the contents of the feedwell can be properly and adequately mixed.

摘要: An apparatus and method for removing particulates from a multiple-phase fluid stream is disclosed. The apparatus has a vessel enclosed by walls, and the vessel has a fluid inlet for receiving the multiple-phase fluid stream, a fluid outlet spacing from the fluid inlet for discharging gas phase matter, and a passage, such as a spiral path, in the vessel extending from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet. The length of the passage is longer than the distance between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet.

摘要: An inlet arrangement for a tray-based grit removal system utilizes a set of separate inlet hoses to connect the vertical stack of trays to a horizontally-disposed inlet chute, thus eliminating the inlet duct utilized in prior art configurations. Each hose is configured to have about the same length and diameter, providing an essentially uniform influent pressure at the input to each tray. The hoses are directly connected between the trays and the inlet chute, where each tray may be formed to include a hose coupler of the same diameter as the hose. The inlet chute may take the form of a trough or tube (or other suitable geometry), with the plurality of hoses all terminating along a common, horizontal output face of the chute.

摘要: A method of separating a multiphase fluid, the fluid including a relatively high density component and a relatively low density component, that includes introducing the fluid into a separation region; imparting a rotational movement into the multiphase fluid; forming an outer annular region of rotating fluid of predetermined thickness within the separation region; and forming and maintaining a core of fluid in an inner region. Fluid entering the separation vessel is directed into the outer annular region and the thickness of the outer annular region is such that the high density component is concentrated and substantially contained within this region, the low density component being concentrated in the rotating core. A separation system employing the method is also provided. The method and system are particularly suitable for the separation of solid debris from the fluids produced by a subterranean oil or gas well at wellhead flow pressure.
