    摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for reducing the amount of coarser particles from a stream of flue gas prior to treatment by a spray dryer absorption process (SDA). The method comprises the steps of directing a stream of flue gas containing entrained particles of varying sizes through a curve, thereby subjecting the particles to a centrifugal effect, collecting the particles predominately of the coarser size at a particles collecting means provided in the outer circumference of the curve, dispersing the flue gas reduced in particles of coarse particle sizes into the chamber of a spray dryer absorption apparatus, wherein the particles content of the original flue gas stream is above 20 g/Nm3. Also an apparatus for performing the method and a gas disperser is disclosed. The method substantially reduces the cost of the entire plant for treating flue gas having a high content of entrained coarse particles by eliminating the need for a particle pre-collector upstream the SDA.

    摘要: An improved method and system for flue gas recirculation (FGR) from the ID Fan located downstream of a scrubber (or other Air Quality Control Equipment including cyclones, baghouses, etc., hereafter “AQC equipment”) back to the scrubber (or other AQC Equipment) inlet to maintain the minimum required flue gas throughput during low-load conditions, thereby eliminating the need for a separate booster fan. A flue gas recirculation duct is connected from downstream of the ID Fan to the inlet of the scrubber (or other AQC Equipment). A variable flow restrictor is placed in the duct downstream of the ID Fan for controlling pressure of the recirculated flue gas. The flow restrictor is controlled in accordance to a function of boiler load or flue gas flow to produce the required backpressure that enables the flue gas to flow through the recirculation duct back to the inlet of the scrubber (or other AQC Equipment) at low loads. This side stream of treated gas is recirculated from the discharge of the ID Fan to the inlet of the AQC Equipment to maintain the appropriate gas velocity regardless of boiler load conditions. The pressure differential between fan discharge and the AQC Equipment inlet enables recirculation of a sufficient amount of treated flue gas using only a small duct and simple flow control damper, without using a booster fan.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for burning material having a primary burner in the form of an elongated cylinder, the ends of the cylinder closed with stationary end walls. The cylinder is rotated about its longitudinal axis which is horizontal. A ram material inlet is provided in one end wall for compressing and feeding material into the cylinder. An air inlet conduit introduces air into the cylinder to promote burning of the material in the cylinder as the cylinder rotates. The combustion cylinder is maintained by an exhaust fan and air control valves at a pressure below atmospheric. A secondary afterburner is provided adjacent the primary burner that receives combustion gases from the primary burner. A cyclonic separator is positioned downstream of the gases burned in the afterburner. A programmable logic controller connected to air valves and sensors monitors the combustion process to sustain maximum combustion efficiency at temperatures above 1700 degrees Fahrenheit.
