    摘要: A source of compressed air, such as one or more air compressors and/or one or more tanks of compressed air, is used to sequentially fill a plurality of compressed air storage cylinders. A plurality of pressure-sensitive, one way check valves cause the storage cylinders to be automatically filled up, one at a time, in a determined sequence. The outputs of the storage cylinders are connected through a plurality of differential air pressure valves to a fill station, to cause the storage cylinders to fill up individual air breathing tanks, in which the storage cylinders are depleted in a determined sequence, one at a time. By depleting first the first to be filled storage cylinder, first in-first out, the same filling procedure can be used to refill the air storage cylinders.

    摘要: A fluid pressurization device 10 comprises a pressure container 12 and a first bladder 14, a second bladder 16 and a sheet 18, that are located in the pressure container 12. The bladders 14 and 16 have pipe connectors 32 and 40, respectively, for filling/discharging fluid from the bladders. The bladders 14 and 16 are located in the container 12 adjacent one another, with the bladder 16 being folded in concertina fashion and the sheet 18 being wrapped around the bladder 16 to form a roll surrounding the folded bladder 16. In use, the bladder 14 is filled with a combustible fluid such as oxygen and the bladder 16 is filled with compressed air to a relatively higher pressure than the oxygen in the bladder 14 for pressurizing the oxygen contained therein. As oxygen is delivered from bladder 14, the sheet 18 unravels gradually, allowing the bladder 16 to continue to exert a force on the bladder 14.

    摘要: A method of and an apparatus for discharging containers of solubilized gas, e.g. acetylene, in which the gas is initially drawn as a preference stream from one container or group of containers (e.g. conventional acetylene bottles or tanks) and is fed to the consumer. When the pressure in the tank or tanks falls below a predetermined set point value, thereby indicating that the volume flow rate is less than the mean or average flow requirement, a second tank or group of tanks is connected to provide a complementary flow. The second tank or group of tanks supply the total requirement during replacement of the first tank or group and then forms the preference stream while the replacement tank or tanks of the first group provides the complementary stream.
