摘要:
A plunger lifting mechanism of a rotary-valve gas carburetor includes a carburetor body, a cam, a plunger, a torsion spring, a fixed plate, a throttle wire bracket, a main measuring needle, a sleeve and a main jet pipe. The plunger is rotatablely mounted in the carburetor body, which passes through the cam, the torsion spring and fixed plate in turn and then extends out of the carburetor body, and a top of the plunger is connected with the throttle wire bracket and then fixedly connected with the sleeve; the fixed plate is fixedly connected with the carburetor body; one end of the torsion spring is elastically suppressed by the fixed plate, and the other end of the torsion spring is elastically suppressed by protrusions on side walls of the plunger. The configuration can ensure sufficient flexibility of its plunger and improve the reliability of the carburetor.

There is provided a carburetor having a main air passageway extending between an air inlet and an air outlet and having a narrower venturi portion intermediate the air inlet and air outlet, a throttle valve being located near the air outlet, and a second narrower passageway extending substantially parallel to the main air passageway, the second narrower passageway having an air inlet from the main air passageway, a fuel inlet to the second passageway downstream from the inlet, and a first outlet from the second passageway to the main air passageway proximate the venturi portion and a second outlet from the second passageway intermediate the venturi portion and a throttle valve, the main air passageway having a flange extending inwardly from said wall at a downstream end of the venturi portion. The carburetor provides better fuel economy and efficiency.

A carburetor having a constant level fuel supply and a mixing conduit has a throttle valve mounted above the fuel level. Two fuel supply circuits are provided. A first fuel circuit discharges through a nozzle located adjacent the high edge of the throttle valve and a second fuel circuit discharges fuel at a point located above the low edge of the throttle valve. The high and low edges referring to the position of the throttle when in curb idle position.

A carburetor having a plurality of orifices at different locations adjacent to the sidewall of the airflow passage therethrough and connecting passages communicating the orifices with a fuel source, such that different airflow conditions through the airflow passageway will generate different negative pressure conditions in the respective orifices and connecting passages, such that fuel will be drawn to the airflow passageway through the orifice or orifices and connected passage or passages with the greatest negative pressure conditions therein, a primary operational result being fuel delivery capable of rapidly changing corresponding to rapidly changing airflow conditions in the airflow passageway corresponding to changing operating conditions.

Disclosed is an adjustable apparatus for regulating the flow of fuel into a carburetor by use of a specially designed fuel metering rod. The hollow rod includes four different sets of holes along its sides at one end, each set separated from the adjacent sets by ninety degrees (90.degree.). The holes of each set are graduated from large to small, and each set covers a different range of hole sizes. The rod slides into a housing on the side of the carburetor, the holes regulating the amount of filtered fuel delivered to the carburetor. By sliding the rod, different sized holes on the rod line up with the exit opening in the housing to the carburetor. Sliding the rod also moves a linkage which causes the opening or closing of the air valves of the carburetor. The rod may be removed and rotated (either 90.degree., 180.degree. or 270.degree.) to allow a different set of holes to line up with the exit opening to the carburetor.
