    摘要: A carburetor is provided that supplies an appropriate amount of fuel at engine start-up and in a specific range of rotational speed, and allows stable engine operation at a target rotational speed. The carburetor comprises a first fuel system (F1) for metering fuel from the constant fuel chamber (18) with a metering needle (32) linked to a throttle valve (5), and delivering the fuel to an air intake passage (2); and a second fuel system (F2) for controlling fuel compressed by a fuel pump (8) with an electromagnetically driven control valve (52) and delivering the fuel to the air intake passage (2); by supplying pressured fuel controlled by the control valve (52) in a predetermined specific range of rotation and controlling the rotational speed during start-up and warm-up, a target rotational speed can be maintained.

    摘要: Enriching device for carburettors of internal combustion engines, which comprises an aeration gaged orifice located at the upper portion of the float tank of the carburettor, a fuel gaged orifice communicating with the bottom of said fuel tank, an air/fuel mixture gaged orifice disposed in a passage interconnecting said aeration gaged orifice and said fuel gaged orifice, and delivering said mixture at the level of the carburettor venturi, and an additional gaged orifice opening into the main passage of the carburettor, wherein said additional gaged orifice is located at the end of a pipe section projecting to a predetermined extent into the main passage upstream of said venturi and slightly upstream of the closed position of the starter shutter, whereby said additional gaged orifice, according to the negative pressure discrepancy existing between its position and that of the mixture gaged orifice will regulate the richness of the air/fuel mixture by performing successively as an additional air inlet orifice for producing a leaner mixture passing through the mixture gaged orifice under low or moderate engine load conditions, this function decreasing gradually to zero, during the range of part-load operating conditions, and then as a gaged orifice supplying an additional output of air/fuel mixture, therefore as an enriching device, under high-load engine conditions.

    摘要: A vacuum controlled liquid metering assembly is provided defining an upstanding fluid passage therethrough communicated with the source of fluid at its lower end and with a source of variable vacuum at its upper end. A plurality of valve members are freely reciprocal in the passage between upper and lower limit positions and each is loosely received in the passage. In addition, each of the valve members has an upstanding bore formed therethrough and the bores of the valve members are vertically aligned. The valve members are of different weight with the heaviest valve member disposed lowermost and the lightest valve member disposed uppermost. Also, the diameters of the passages or bores formed through the valve members are each larger in diameter than the bore or passage disposed immediately thereabove. Still further, the valve members may be buoyed up in their confining upstanding fluid passage in response to greater fluid pressures therebelow and dynamic fluid pressures acting upon them from therebelow.

    摘要: A single pivoting diaphragm plate is utilized to separate the two air-sensing chambers and the two fuel-sensing chambers. The diaphragm plate is bonded to a resilient diaphragm/seal which separates and seals the four chambers and allows for the pivoting action of the diaphragm plate as it seeks to balance the forces of the air velocity and the fuel velocity. Any imbalance between the forces is sensed across the diaphragm plate, which immediately results in a pivoting movement to return the system to a balanced condition. The pivoting action of the diaphragm plate controls the fuel discharge valve which feeds fuel into an accelerated air passageway which enters the main air stream below a throttle plate.

    摘要: An air/fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine provides a mixture leaner than a predetermined reference value when a detected engine load is in a light load range. In order to produce a required engine power during a transitional period, the system detects the speed of variation of an operating parameter used for the calculation of air/fuel ratio and controls the air/fuel ratio toward the reference level even though the magnitude of the detected engine load is in the light load range. Preferably, an EGR rate is also made smaller upon occurrence of a rapid change of the operating parameter so as to prevent the power down of the engine during the transitional period.
