The first plurality of fine fibers comprises a first polymeric material including (i) a first polymer component and (ii) optionally one or more first additives, wherein the first polymer component comprises a first recycled-polypropylene (rPP) comprising a visbroken spunbond grade polypropylene having a first melt flow rate (MFR) before visbreaking and second MFR after visbreaking, and wherein the second MFR is larger than the first MFR.

摘要: A process for the preparation of plexifilamentary film-fibril strands of polymer. The process includes the steps of generating a spin fluid containing (a) 5 to 30 wt. % containing one or more polymer types, (b) a primary spin agent selected from the group consisting of dichloromethane, cis-1,2-dichloroethylene and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, and (c) a co-spin agent comprising 1H,6H-perfluorohexane or 1H-perfluorohexane or 1H-perfluoroheptane. The spin fluid is flash-spun at a pressure that is greater than the autogenous pressure of the spin fluid into a region of lower pressure to form plexifilamentary film-fibril strands of the polymer. The co-spin agent is present in the spin fluid in an amount sufficient to form an azeotrope-like composition with the primary spin agent in the presence of the one or more polymer types. The polymer may be selected from the group consisting of high density polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene-1, polymethylpentene, polyvinylidene fluoride, poly (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene), and blends of the foregoing.

摘要: A polypropylene composition (PC) comprising: a. from 95.0 to 99.99 wt.-%, of a polypropylene (PP), preferably a propylene homopolymer (HPP); and b. from 0.01 to 5.0 wt.-%, of a compound according to Formula (I), wherein each R is independently selected from C1 to C6 alkylene, C2 to C6 alkenylene and a single bond, each R′ is independently selected from H and C1 to C6 alkyl, each R″ is independently selected from H and C1 to C22 alkyl, wherein each alkylene, alkenylene and alkyl group may optionally be substituted by deuterium or fluorine, and the two substituents on the central benzene ring may be either positioned in an ortho, meta or para relationship; wherein the polypropylene composition (PC) has an MFR2 of from 400 to 5000 g/10 min and a melting temperature Tm of from 140 to 170° C.

摘要: Methods for the treatment of textiles used for facial masks assure for the inactivation of viruses captured by the textile. The aerosol droplets are absorbed by the textile, and any viruses in the water droplets react with a virucidal substance. The surface of textile fibers is first exposed to gaseous plasma to assure appropriate wettability. The textile is then soaked in a diluted water solution of a virucidal substance. The excessive water solution is optionally removed by draining, and the drained textile is then dried. The methods enable uniform coating of the textile fibers with an extremely thin film of virucidal substance. A typical concentration of the virucidal substance in the textiles treated according to the methods of the aspects of disclosed embodiments is about 10 g/kg. Such a small concentration is benign to humans but effectively inactivates the viruses that might be captured by the textile.

摘要: The present invention relates to fibers, particularly to as-spun fibers, having improved properties, in particular improved bonding performance and mechanical properties. In particular, the present invention relates to fibers comprising a metallocene random copolymer of propylene and one or more comonomers, said metallocene random copolymer having a broader molecular weight distribution. The present invention further relates to nonwovens comprising such fibers and to a process for producing such fibers and nonwovens. The fibers and the nonwovens of the present invention are characterized by improved properties, in particular improved bonding performance and mechanical properties, when compared to the prior art fibers and nonwovens.
