摘要: A cell culturing system includes a cell culturing device and a support device. The cell culturing device cultures cells by allowing a culture medium inside circulation flow paths connected to the bioreactor to flow inside the bioreactor. The cell culturing device is connected to the circulation flow paths and includes a waste liquid flow path in order to discard the liquid flowing through the circulation flow paths, and a waste liquid accommodation unit in which the liquid guided from the waste liquid flow path is accommodated. A sampling unit, in which the culture medium that is guided from the circulation flow paths to the waste liquid flow path is collected, is connected to the waste liquid flow path.

摘要: A system and method adapted for continuous growth and harvesting of fungal fruiting bodies. The system includes a growth chamber, one or more mycelium feed assemblies, a nutrient reservoir with liquid media, one or more environmental controls to control an environment within the growth chamber and of the liquid media within the nutrient reservoir. One or more mycelium feed assemblies are arranged within the growth chamber. Each of the one or more mycelium feed assemblies includes a nutrient supply member and a mycelium colony which grows around the nutrient supply member, that continuously supplies liquid media to the mycelium colony. The method includes starting one or more mycelium colonies on the nutrient supply member, establishing that a mature colony has formed, and then maintaining the mature mycelium colony by continuous delivery of liquid medium to the mycelium colony, thus allowing for contiguous generation and harvesting of fungal fruiting bodies.

摘要: Tissue-processing containers are disclosed for facilitating multistep processing of tissue. Also disclosed are systems incorporating the tissue-processing containers that include shakers, incubators, controllers, and pumps. Multistep methods are disclosed for processing tissues using the tissue-processing containers. The tissue-processing containers are specially designed to achieve efficiencies in automated tissue processing, exposure of tissues to processing media, and multistep tissue processing protocols. The described tissue-processing containers comprise a cup-like cavity comprising a middle hole covered by a mesh screen, troughs for separate processing steps, and are stackable in a substantially airtight and substantially watertight manner. Tissues for processing using the described tissue-processing containers include nerve tissue. Also described herein is a transport housing for the transport of stacks of tissue-processing containers, and which may directly incubate those containers, or which may be placed inside a separate incubator for incubating the containers.

摘要: A cell culture container includes: a container body; a cell culture insert having a tubular portion and an oxygen-permeable membrane; and a lid member. The container body is provided with an opening that communicates with an interior of the container body. The tubular portion includes an upper end and a lower end, and is inserted in the opening such that the lower end is located inside the container body. The lower end side of the tubular portion is closed by the membrane. The upper end side of the tubular portion is closed by the lid member. The lid member includes a lower surface that faces toward an interior of the tubular portion. The lid member is provided with an electrode insertion port and a culture medium outlet port that each communicate with the interior of the tubular portion at the lower surface.

摘要: Embodiments described herein generally relate to methods and systems for customizing protocols for use with a cell expansion system. Through a user interface, a user may create a custom task for loading, growing and/or harvesting cells. A custom task may comprise one or more steps, in which a user may add or omit steps, as desired. Data may be entered for settings associated with a custom task, in which embodiments provide for such data to be entered each time the custom task is performed. In another embodiment, the settings for a custom task may be configured, in which such settings may be stored and retrieved upon selection of the custom task. Customization and configuration of a custom task may occur using a diagram view of the cell expansion system, in which process settings are associated with graphical user interface elements.
