The sealant composition can include a first component including a liquid that is a polysulfide, a polythioether, a copolymer thereof, or a combination thereof. The sealant composition can also include a second component that includes one or more glycol di((C1-C20)hydrocarbyl)carboxylate esters, wherein at each occurrence the (C1-C20)hydrocarbyl is independently substituted or unsubstituted. The second component can also include an oxidizing agent.

摘要： A dual-curable sealant composition includes a polysulfide having an —SH group, a metal oxide catalyst, and an alkyl-borane amine catalyst. A cured sealant is also formed from the dual-curable sealant composition. Moreover, a dual-cured sealant is formed that includes the polymerization product of the polysulfide reacted in the presence of the metal oxide catalyst and the alkylborane amine catalyst. Further, a dual-curable sealant system includes a first component including the polysulfide and the alkylborane amine catalyst and a second component including the metal oxide catalyst. An article is formed that includes a substrate and the cured sealant disposed on the substrate. Even further, a method of forming the dual-curable sealant composition includes the steps of providing the polysulfide, the alkylborane amine catalyst, and the metal oxide catalyst, and combining the polysulfide, the alkylborane amine catalyst, and the metal oxide catalyst to form the dual-curable composition.

摘要： A rubber-metal laminate, which comprises a metallic sheet and a rubber layer formed on the metallic sheet, the rubber layer being formed from an NBR composition comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of nitrile rubber, (B) 0.1-5 parts by weight of sulfur, and (C) 0.5-10 parts by weight of at least one sulfur donor compound selected from tetrabenzylthiuram disulfide, tetrakis(2-ethylhexyl)thiuram disulfide, zinc tetrabenzyldithiocarbamate, and 1,6-bis(N,N-dibenzylthiocarbamodithio)-hexane, preferably the NBR composition further containing (D) 3-100 parts by weight of silica and (E) 60-200 parts by weight of aluminum oxide having an average particle size of 0.1-10 μm, as a rubber layer-forming composition, where the rubber layer can be formed on the metallic sheet without generating nitrosoamines as controlled items of TRGS552, PRTR, etc. and without lowering the vulcanizate physical properties or vulcanization rate. The rubber-metal laminate can be effectively used as a seal material.

These adhesive/sealing masses are suitable for gluing without primer parts made of metals or other materials such as aluminum, steel, glass, wood or plastics. In a particularly preferred embodiment, component B consists of a viscous, stable mixture of plasticisers, water, thickeners and other optional auxiliary substances.
