Abstract: Provided is a resin film containing a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin which is highly transparent and less likely to be cloudy even when it is heated and cooled. A resin film is composed of a resin composition containing 50 to 80 parts by mass of a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin and 20 to 50 parts by mass of a polymethacrylic acid ester-based resin with respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin and the polymethacrylic acid ester-based resin, wherein a crystallinity of the resin composition is 15% to 35%; a ratio of α-type crystal to a total mass of α-type crystal and β-type crystal in the resin composition is 0 to 15% by mass; an average thickness of the resin film is 5 to 200 μm; and a HAZE measured according to JIS K7136: 2000 of the resin film is 20% or less.

Abstract: Polymer particles excellent in uniform dispersibility and the use thereof are provided. The polymer particles contain a surfactant, and have a coefficient of variation in the volume-based particle diameter distribution in the range from not less than 13.0% to not more than 25.0%. When 15.0 g of water is added to 5.0 g of the polymer particles so as to disperse the polymer particles in the water by performing a dispersion treatment for 60 minutes using an ultrasonic cleaner, and furthermore when an obtained dispersion liquid is put into a centrifuge tube with an inside diameter of 24 mm so as to be centrifuged, by a centrifugal separator, under conditions that K factor is 6943 and a rotating time is 30 minutes to recover a supernatant, a concentration of non-volatile components in the obtained supernatant is less than 3.5 wt. %.

The method for preparing a super absorbent polymer according to the present invention can provide a super absorbent resin exhibiting fast absorption rate and high saline flow conductivity while having excellent absorption properties such as a centrifuge retention capacity and an absorbency under pressure, by using the polycarboxylic acid-based copolymer under pulverization of the hydrous gel phase polymer.

Abstract: A polymer composition for use in the removal and recovery of oil slicks or spills floating on the surfaces of bodies or water or present on land, such as beaches comprising a foam of a blend of polyethylene and an ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer and a process for using such foams in the selective removal of oil from fresh water or salt water and the recovery of the absorbed oils from the foams is disclosed. The polymer composition is also for use in other applications in which absorption of liquids is desired.

By combining the (meth)acrylic functional UV absorber with various binder precursors such as photo-curable multifunctional (meth)acrylate, there are obtained coating compositions having improved crosslinking density, UV absorbing capacity, anti-bleeding property, and shelf stability.

Abstract: Compositions comprising graphene sheets, graphite, at least one binder, a carrier system. About 1 to about 50 weight percent of the carrier system comprises at least one of a cyclic imide and lactone. The graphene sheets consist of fully exfoliated single sheets of graphite. The ratio by weight of graphite to graphene sheets is from about 50:50 to about 85:15. The composition may be used as coatings and inks.

Abstract: An organic resin laminate comprising an organic resin substrate and a multilayer coating system on a surface of the substrate is provided. The multilayer coating system can include a plasma layer which is a dry hard coating obtained from plasma polymerization of an organosilicon compound, and an intermediate layer (II) on the substrate which is a cured coating of a wet coating composition comprising (A) a specific reactive UV absorber, (B) a multi-functional (meth)acrylate, and (C) a photopolymerization initiator. (B) a multifunctional (meth)acrylate, and (C) a photopolymerization initiator. The laminate has a high level of abrasion resistance and improved adhesion and weather resistance.
