Abstract:
Provided is an oral pouch flavor product with a fibrous flavored wrapper that encloses an inner filling material. Preferably, the fibrous flavored wrapper includes embedded flavorants. The fibrous flavored wrapper may also include a softening agent, colorants, and/or browning inhibitors. The inner material may include non-tobacco, plant material fibers and preferably has a low moisture content so as to prevent the need for preservatives or refrigeration.

Abstract:
An apparatus comprises a closed container formed of substantially rigid plastic, and a wrapper that is loosely disposed fully about the closed container. This wrapper may also have twist ties on opposing ends thereof. This apparatus may be used to provide packaging for a retail commodity.
Abstract:
A machine for forming bags with infusion or extraction products includes a station for forming and feeding single sheets; a U-shaped folding station for folding the sheet; a unit for sealing the two lateral edges the sheet to create a bag with a closed bottom and side and an open end opposite the bottom. A second carousel includes radial grippers each configured to receive a bag. A dosing station includes a first device for dosing a first product along a dosing trajectory towards the opening and a second dosing device for dosing a second product. A transporting element positioned between the dosing devices includes a container for receiving the second product. The transporting element moves the container from a second product dosing position to a position for unloading the second product coinciding with the dosing trajectory from where the container discharges the dose of the second product into the bag.
Abstract:
Laminates having a foamed polyethylene layer reduces material costs but yet can be used to make user-acceptable bags and other containers to hold consumable products (such as a dry laundry detergent) that withstand the rigors of manufacturing and transporting.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an apparatus for bagging material into a film. The film has at least two overlapping sheets and at least one open edge. The apparatus a pair of spaced apart carriages and a pair of clamp assemblies movably mounted to a respective carriage. The clamp assemblies are pivotally movable relative to the respective carriage and vertically moveable along the length of the respective carriage. The clamp assemblies engage the film and open the film by separating the overlapping sheets. The clamp assemblies are moved downwardly along the length of the respective carriages so as to provide for the opened film to progressively bag material positioned thereunder. The clamp assembly includes a clamp having a pair of clamping members which are configured to grip a portion of the overlapping sheets for separation thereof. A method for bagging material into a film is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A positioning apparatus operates to advance and rotationally orient a container during packaging of a product and broadly comprises a conveyor, a rotor assembly mounted to the conveyor, a rotary drive means and orientation sensing means. The rotor assembly includes a holder adapted to receive a container in a supported state with the supported container being aligned along the rotor axis such that the container may be rotated thereabout. The rotary drive means operates to selectively engage the rotor assembly and the supported container for rotatably orienting the supported container with respect to the rotor axis. The orientation sensing means monitors rotational orientation of the supported container, and the conveyor operates to advance the rotor assembly and the supported container during the packaging of the product.
Abstract:
A method of forming and filling a pouch, comprises forming opposing walls of a film; sealing the opposing walls of film together to form at least one pouch; filling an interior section of the at least one pouch through an opening in an upper portion of the at least one pouch with a flowable material; forming a top sealed expressing-shaped region to close the opening in the at least one pouch; and cradling the pouch with a foldable flat that is more rigid than the pouch that can be folded or rolled to compress the pouch to express the flowable material through the expressing shaped region.
Abstract:
A pack in which a food or beverage ingredient is stored and in which a beverage is produced when water is introduced inside is disclosed, along with methods of production and use thereof.
Abstract:
A continuous sealing device includes: a first roller, having a first circumference, where the first circumference includes a first heat sealing segment; a first heating member, located at the first heat sealing segment, where when the first roller rotates, the first heating member bonds film sheets in a heat sealing manner to form a first bonding segment; a second roller, having a second circumference, the second circumference includes a second heat sealing segment; and a second heating member, located at the second heat sealing segment, where when the second roller rotates, the second heating member bonds the film sheets in a heat sealing manner to form a second bonding segment, and the first bonding segment and the second bonding segment are connected to form an uninterrupted heat sealing wire on the film sheets.
