摘要: A collision avoidance support device comprises target detection unit, target type determination unit, relative position determination unit, target track prediction unit, and vehicle track prediction unit, obstacle determination unit. The vehicle track prediction unit is configured to enlarge said width of a vehicle predicted track compared with a case where an enlargement condition is not satisfied when the enlargement condition is satisfied. The enlargement condition is satisfied when the relative position determination unit detects that a target determined to be a pedestrian by the target type determination unit is positioned on a travel lane at least once.

摘要: When a collision avoidance target is a pedestrian or a bicycle, a driving assistance ECU performs automatic braking control. In this case, accelerator override cannot be performed. When the collision avoidance target is an automobile and when an accelerator operation amount is equal to or larger than a first operation amount threshold, the driving assistance ECU prohibits the automatic braking control. In this case, the accelerator override can be performed. When the accelerator operation amount is smaller than the first operation amount threshold, the driving assistance ECU performs the automatic braking control.

An example apparatus at least one memory; instructions; and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to: determine a danger level associated with an object, the danger level indicative of a first measure of damage corresponding to a trajectory of the object compared to a trajectory of a vehicle; determine, based on the first danger level, a danger measure based on at least one of a position of the object, a velocity of the object, an acceleration of the object, a direction of travel of the object, a weight or mass of the object; and generate instructions to transmit to a steering system or a braking system of the vehicle based on the determination.

摘要: A method of controlling driving of a vehicle using an in-wheel system includes: calculating a time to collision (TTC) by dividing a distance between the vehicle and an obstacle located in front of the vehicle by relative velocity; determining whether the vehicle enters a braking avoidance section, based on the calculated TTC; and generating, by a motor mounted in each wheel, braking force of a brake by an amount of shortage of braking force of the brake compared with a demanded braking force if the vehicle enters the braking avoidance section.

摘要: An apparatus/vehicle for warning a driver of a vehicle or vehicle/trailer (V-VT) about a stationary object (SO): a) a sensor device having a detection area (DA) including a side DA arranged laterally from a vehicle side (VS) and extending front to rear, in the direction of a longitudinal centerline of the (V-VT), and detecting the SO within the DA; b) a control device to evaluate the sensor signals as to the SO detected within the DA and define a dynamically alterable warning area (WA) that is no more than the side DA; c) a warning device to generate a warning signal if the sensor device detects the object(s) in the WA; d) the control device, on detection of the SO within the side DA and on detection of the (V-VT) turning toward the VS on which the side DA is situated, to assign a triangular cross-section to the WA.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to autonomous commercial vehicles. In one aspect, the disclosure provides a method for controlling a commercial highway vehicle. The method includes detecting a failure of a first component based on a first signal from a first sensor. The method also includes classifying, by an automated driving system on the vehicle, a severity of the component failure. The method further includes determining to stop the vehicle if the severity exceeds a threshold severity level. The method also includes determining an emergency stopping distance based on the severity and a current momentum of the vehicle. The method further includes determining a stopping location within the emergency stopping distance. The method also includes stopping the vehicle at the stopping location. The present disclosure also provides an autonomous commercial vehicle and an emergency control system for performing the method.
