Abstract: A vehicle having a first aid kit having a plurality of content items is provided. The vehicle also includes one or more impact sensors and a controller. The controller is configured to detect, using the impact sensors, a collision involving the vehicle and activate a door of the first aid kit to expose the plurality of content items to an interior of the vehicle and activating an indicator disposed on the first aid kit based on a determination that a force of the collision exceeds a first threshold value. Based on a determination that the force of the collision exceeds a second threshold value and is less than the first threshold value, the controller is configured to activate the indicator disposed on the first aid kit.

The device may generate, based on the depth information, an overlay to indicate a range of distances from the vehicle. The range of distances may be associated with an area. The device may provide, for display, a video feed including the image data with the overlay on the ground surface. Abstract: A vehicle seat restraint system includes a vehicle seat of a vehicle. The vehicle seat includes a leg-rest supporting lower legs and feet of an occupant of the vehicle seat. An in-vehicle occupant detection system identifies positions of the lower legs and the feet of the occupant. A restraint actuator is connected to the vehicle seat. A safety restraint element is extended by actuation of the restraint actuator from a stowed position proximate to the leg-rest into an engaged position wherein the safety restraint element contacts and restrains the lower legs and the feet of the occupant against the leg-rest, mitigating against occupant knee hyperextension due to leg straightening at an occupant knee joint.

Abstract: A vehicle occupant monitoring apparatus includes two or more imaging modules and a controller. The imaging modules each include: a light-emitting device configured to emit and apply light to an occupant in a vehicle; and an imaging device configured to perform imaging of the occupant to obtain an imaging image. The controller is configured to cause the light-emitting device of each of the imaging modules to apply the light when the imaging device of corresponding one of the imaging modules performs the imaging. The controller is configured to cause, in a case where contact of the vehicle with another object is predicted or detected, the imaging device to perform the imaging to obtain the imaging image while causing the light-emitting devices of the imaging modules to apply the light together, and monitor the position of the occupant on the basis of the obtained imaging image.
