Provided are: a powdered material for slush molding; and a manufacturing process therefor. The powdered material is less odorous, exhibits excellent powder fluidity, and does not suffer from troubles resulting from the sliding-down or agglomeration of a pigment even when the resin particles have been pigmented on the surfaces thereof. Thus, the powdered material ensures high productivity. The powdered material is a powdered polyurethane urea resin composition which comprises (D) a polyurethane urea resin that has a total content of bimolecular condensate of acetone, bimolecular condensate of methyl ethyl ketone, and bimolecular condensate of methyl isobutyl ketone of 1,000 ppm or less and (N) an additive, wherein the polyurethane urea resin (D) takes the form of thermoplastic polyurethane urea resin particles (P) that have a volume-mean particle diameter of 20 to 500 μm and that have protrusions and recesses on the surfaces. The powdered polyurethane urea resin composition is manufactured by a manufacturing process which includes a step of mixing (A) an isocyanato-terminated urethane prepolymer with (B) an alicyclic diamine and/or an aliphatic diamine in an aqueous medium by stirring to form the resin particles (P).

The present invention provides: a resin pellet composition excellent in terms of low-classification property, kneadability with liquid ingredients, and transportability; a method for producing the resin pellet composition; and a method for producing a microporous polyolefin film from the resin pellet composition. The resin pellet composition comprises first pellets, which comprise a polyolefin, and 0.1-99.0 mass % liquid component. The first pellets are porous objects, some of which contain some of the liquid component infiltrated thereinto. In another embodiment, the resin pellet composition includes second pellets, which include a polyolefin. The second pellets are non-porous objects each comprising a portion made of a resin comprising the polyolefin and a portion made of a liquid component. The mass of the liquid component present on the outer surfaces of the second pellets is 20 mass % or less with respect to the total mass of the second pellets.

The method is a method for producing water absorbent polyacrylic acid (salt) resin powder including the steps of: (i) polymerizing an acrylic acid (salt) monomer aqueous solution; (ii) during or after the step of (i), performing gel grinding of a hydrogel crosslinked polymer obtained by the polymerization, wherein the hydrogel crosslinked polymer has resin solid content of 10 wt % to 80 wt %, and the gel grinding is carried out with gel grinding energy (GGE) of 18 [J/g] to 60 [J/g]; (iii) drying a particulate hydrogel crosslinked polymer obtained by the gel grinding, wherein the drying is performed at 150° C. to 250° C.; and (iv) carrying out a surface treatment to the particulate hydrogel crosslinked polymer thus dried.

The disclosure is directed to improvements in a process for preparing curable polyolefin polymers in which a mass of dry, discrete, free-flowing particles of polyolefin polymer is tumbled in admixture with a curing agent effective to cause curing when the finished product is subjected to curing temperature, which comprises tumbling said mass in two separate and discrete steps in which essentially all of the curing agent is incorporated into said mass in the first tumbling step and equilibration between the curing agent and the polymer is effected in the second tumbling step while maintaining in both tumbling steps a temperature above the melting point of said curing agent but below both the agglomerating temperature and the curing temperature and, at least in the second tumbling step, a temperature which provides equilibration between the curing agent and the polymer; and thereafter tumble-cooling the thus-treated mass until a dry, discrete, free-flowing mass of polymer particles is obtained. The tumbling steps are advantageously effected in a Zig-Zag Blender.TM., wherein incorporation of the curing agent is effected by spraying liquid curing agent onto particles of said polymer while they are separated from said mass and dispersed in the atmosphere which envelopes said mass.
