The apparatus includes an absorption tower, a sedimentation pool including slanting boards, a regeneration tower, a gas-liquid separator, a desiccator, a compressor, and a condenser. A rich solution is adapted to flow from a bottom of the absorption tower into the sedimentation pool for stratification. A gas outlet of the gas-liquid separator is in series connection with the desiccator, the compressor, the condenser, and a liquid carbon dioxide storage tank.

The method includes: 1) mixing an organic amine, an ionic liquid, and water to obtain an aqueous solution of a composite absorbent; 2) spraying the aqueous solution of the composite absorbent into the flue gas to allow the flue gas flowing upwardly to fully contact with the downwardly sprayed aqueous solution of the composite absorbent and to allow CO2 in the flue gas to react with the composite absorbent to yield a solution rich in A.CO2 and B.CO2, where A represents the organic amine and B represents the ionic liquid; allowing the solution rich in A.CO2 and B.CO2 to stand and clarify to form different liquid layers; 3) thermally decomposing the mixed solution rich in A.CO2 and B.CO2 after heat exchange to release the chemically bound CO2.

A method of recovering carbon dioxide, includes bringing gas to be processed containing carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen into contact with the CO2-absorbing solution in an absorption column to form a CO2-rich solution; circulating the solution in a regeneration column to thermally release and recover CO2 and recirculating the absorbing solution as a CO2-poor solution inside the absorption column; and performing heat exchange between the solution being delivered from the absorption column to the regeneration column and the solution recirculated from the regeneration column to the absorption column, wherein an alkanolamine aqueous solution containing a silicone oil and/or an organosulfur compound is added to the solution inside the absorption column and/or the solution recirculated from the regeneration column to the absorption column to adjust the composition of the absorbing solution inside the absorption column.
