    Abstract: An interconnection scheme between a filter cartridge and its corresponding manifold whereby a magnetic shear force is introduced to remove a blocking mechanism that would otherwise prohibit attachment. The magnetic shear force may also be employed to activate or deactivate a switch or valve, or engage or disengage an engagement mechanism relative to other components upon interconnection. The magnetic shear force is generated by complementary correlated magnet structures moved into close proximity to one another. The interconnection scheme may be a linear or rotational attachment of the filter cartridge with respect to the manifold. A valve assembly utilizing magnetic shear force may be employed to activate a bypass action between a manifold ingress port and egress port, thereby allowing water to flow when a filter cartridge is removed from the manifold and directing water to the filter cartridge when the valve assembly is activated.

    Abstract: A method for recycling and filtering rolling oil implemented for a rolling mill M requiring a rolling oil nominal flow rate comprised between 4000 l/min and 30000 l/min in an oil recycling and filtering plant having a circuit including, successively, according to the flow direction of the oil: a dirty oil tank, collecting the rolling oils coming from the rolling mill, a filtering system including several oil filtering devices configured to perform an oil filtering in parallel, a clean oil tank from which the rolling mill is fed with rolling oil at the nominal flow rate. The unclogged muds undergo a secondary treatment by continuous and turbulence-free decantation, thanks to a feed-in of the decanter with mud regulated by a pump.

    Abstract: An oil separator is provided and includes an exterior shell defining a first interior and first and second openings fluidly communicative with the first interior, a distributor and first and second filter media cartridges. The distributor is integrated within the exterior shell to define a second interior within the first interior, has a length, which is slightly less than that of the exterior shell, being disposed to define opposite spaces between opposites ends thereof and opposite ends of the exterior shell and is sealed to the exterior shell along the length to form first and second passageways from the first opening to the opposite spaces. The first and second filter media cartridges are disposed within the first interior between the opposite spaces and the second opening.
