Abstract: A filter element includes a bottom open end joined to a center tube opposite the top open end. The bottom open end defines a radially outer surface and a radially inner surface that is in communication with the central reservoir of the filter element. A first locking feature is disposed proximate to the bottom open end. The locking feature includes an entrance slot that is disposed on the radially inner surface of the center tube extending axially from the bottom open end. A similar or identical second locking feature is disposed proximate to the top open end.

Abstract: A filter cartridge for use in the interior of a water tank of a household appliance, the wall of which separates a housing internal side from a housing external side. A filter inlet opening which in the operation of the filter cartridge is open in relation to the external environment of a filter housing. A device for water conduction comprises at least one filter chamber having at least one filter medium and terminates in a filter outlet opening for suctioning water from the filter cartridge in the interior of the filter housing, downstream of the filter inlet opening relative to the flow direction of the water during operation. A filter port has an annular filter sealing face for the connection of the filter cartridge in a water tank. The filter sealing face has a separately disposed filter-proximal guide structure for receiving a centering element for centering the filter cartridge.

Abstract: A filter housing assembly for fluid filtration which may be attached to, and removed from, a filter base by a push-actuated release. The filter housing assembly has a top portion with an ingress port and egress port extending therefrom, and a protrusion extending from the filter housing longitudinally axial center. The ingress and egress port are formed in an hourglass shape. A filter key having a base with a groove for mating with said projection, at least one finger extending from said base, and an electronic circuit component housing attached thereto for receiving a printed circuit board, is connected to the filter housing top portion by mating said top portion protrusion with the filter key groove. Both of said ingress and egress port have at least one cavity for the passage of fluid therethrough, where each cavity is exposed in a direction facing away from the printed circuit board.

Abstract: Certain embodiments include a screen assembly of a vessel, where the screen assembly includes a plurality of fixed elements and a retainer, and the retainer includes a ring, a plurality of wedges disposed about the ring, and a plurality of keyholes at spaced locations about the ring. Each keyhole includes a bore and a slot extending from the bore into an adjacent wedge of the plurality of wedges, the slots have a width less than the bores, and the retainer may receive the fixed elements through the bores and may be rotated in a relation with the plurality of fixed elements to bring the plurality of fixed elements into simultaneous engagement with the wedges.

Abstract: Liquid filter assemblies, features, components and methods are described. In general, a liquid filter cartridge is provided which includes features that help ensure that when the assembly is serviced, the cartridge positioned within the assembly is a proper one, in proper sealing orientation, for appropriate use. Features that can be used to provide for this include: a seal on the filter cartridge that defines a seal pattern non-orthogonal to a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the filter cartridge; and, a member of a projection/receiver arrangement on the filter cartridge which is orientated to engage a portion of a liquid filter assembly, for example a liquid flow collar, to allow sealing when the cartridge is a properly positioned cartridge and a properly configured cartridge. Assembly features are described. Also, a flexible radial projection arrangement providing snap-fit interaction between a cartridge and housing is provided. Methods of assembly and use as described.

Abstract: A filter system for filtering fluid has a filter housing with inlet socket and outlet socket for fluid. A central tube with radially open region over a portion of its axial length is arranged in the filter housing in flow communication with the outlet socket in an operating state. Within the central tube, a secondary element is arranged slidably between first and second operating positions. A filter element, separating a raw fluid side from a clean fluid side, has a filter bellows with a first end plate at a first end face and a second end plate at a second end face. The end plates have central openings for receiving the central tube in the filter element interior. In the first operating position, the secondary element opens a fluid path through the radially open region of the central tube and closes the fluid path in the second operating position.
