Abstract: A laundry appliance includes a cabinet frame that defines a receiving aperture. A tub is disposed within the cabinet frame. A suspension support includes an engagement portion. The engagement portion includes an ejection surface sloping in a first direction and an assembling surface sloping in a second opposing direction to a retaining notch. A suspension rod extends between the tub and the suspension support and has a hook for selectively engaging the assembling surface in an installed position and selectively engaging the ejection surface in a misaligned position.

Abstract: A vacuum insulated refrigerator includes a cabinet defining at least one compartment. The cabinet includes a wrapper, a liner assembly, and a trim breaker assembly coupled to the wrapper and the liner assembly. The trim breaker assembly defines a wrapper groove to receive an edge of the wrapper and at least one liner groove to receive at least one edge of the liner assembly. A wrapper light-diffusing optical fiber is disposed in the wrapper groove. The wrapper light-diffusing optical fiber is configured to diffuse light within the wrapper groove. At least one liner light-diffusing optical fiber is disposed in the at least one liner groove. The at least one liner light-diffusing optical fiber is configured to diffuse light within the at least one liner groove. A light reactive adhesive is disposed in the wrapper groove and in the at least one liner groove.

Abstract: A drying appliance includes an outer cabinet having a back panel. A rotating drum is positioned adjacent to an arcuate recess of the back panel. A blower delivers process air through an airflow path that includes the rotating drum. The airflow path extends through an airway defined within the arcuate recess of the back panel and through a rear wall of the drum. An insulation panel is positioned between the rear wall of the drum and the back panel of the outer cabinet. The insulation panel occupies the arcuate recess and partially surrounds the airway to prevent accumulation of lint within the arcuate recess. The insulation panel is configured to prevent thermal transfer from a processing space within the rotating drum and an area rearward of the back panel.
