摘要: A support grid assembly for use in a vessel. The support grid assembly includes panels each including a first wall including a media-supporting screen and a second wall to be supported by the vessel wall inner surface. A manifold is coupled to the panels and is in hydraulic communication with vessel outlet. The manifold and the panels permit fluid to flow through the screen in each panel, through the panels, into the manifold, and through the manifold to the outlet of the vessel, as well as in the reverse direction. At least a portion of the first wall may slope downward toward the manifold, and at least a portion of the second wall may form a bottom surface that is curved to substantially conform to a curvature of the vessel wall inner surface. The panels may be arranged in a circular configuration extending radially from the manifold.

摘要: A regenerable system for filtration of microfibres contained in a liquid effluent from a textile treatment device comprises at least one enclosure (10) in which a granular medium (30) is arranged, means (100) for passage by percolation of the liquid effluent through the granular medium, means (110) for discharging the liquid effluent under granular medium (30), and means (120) for connection to means for regeneration by fluidization of granular medium (30). A method for filtering microfibres contained in a liquid effluent from a textile treatment device can be implemented by means of such a system.

摘要: Systems and methods for processing produced water containing organic compounds include a processing vessel; a filtration layer including a filtration material; and a cleaning system that provides a washing solution to the filtration material during a cleaning cycle. The filtration layer is configured such that at least a portion of produced water that enters the processing vessel during a processing cycle of the processing system passes through the filtration layer before leaving the processing vessel. The filtration material is a metal compound such as a metal hydroxide or a metal oxohydroxide that is substantially insoluble in aqueous solution. The washing solution includes a reagent capable of reducing the metal compound to a reduced compound soluble in aqueous solution while not decomposing the organic compounds. The organic compounds such as crude oil may be recovered from the filtration layer material after the cleaning cycle, and the filtration layer may be regenerated.

摘要: Flow of water is in the same direction during a water-filtering cycle and a filter-cleaning cycle. That feature leads to an especially simple, economical and effective system for (a) producing filtered water and (b) cleaning, during a filter-cleaning cycle, the filter that cleans the water of particulates. No backwash is needed.Forward wash filter cleaning makes use of principles of physics, man-made equipment, and attraction of black sand (e.g., sand containing magnetite) to magnets. Those elements are combined in a novel way to (a) constrain the sand in a compact but permeable filtering layer and (b) allow a forward wash filter-cleaning cycle by simply flowing water through a layer of particulate-laden black sand after the layer has been made less compact by being disrupted during the filter-cleaning cycle. In other words, particulates previously trapped during a water-filtering cycle are washed away in forward-flowing, particulate-laden water during the filter-cleaning cycle.

摘要: A hybrid type fiber filtering apparatus includes an enclosure, a strainer, a first filtering layer and a second filtering layer. The enclosure has an upper case and a lower case coupled to the upper case. The strainer is mounted inside the upper case in a longitudinal direction. The first filtering layer includes a plurality of fiber filters fixed between upper and lower fixing units and surround an outer circumferential surface of the strainer. The second filtering layer includes a plurality of fiber ball filters disposed inside the lower case. Raw water introduced into the upper case through a raw water inflow pipe passes through the first filtering layer, flows into the strainer, drops downwardly from an inside of the strainer, is introduced into the lower case, passes through the second filtering layer, and then, is discharged out through a filtered water discharge pipe.

摘要: A variable flow control nozzle has a head, a tube, and a valve. The head disposes adjacent an opening and has a screen for passage of fluid flow into and out of the head's interior. The tube extends from the head through the opening and secures the head thereto. A tube passage communicates the interior of the head with the other side of the opening. The valve disposed in the passage has a first condition permitting first fluid flow from the passage to the interior of the head and has a second condition permitting second fluid flow from the interior to the passage. The second fluid flow may be greater than the first fluid flow. The tube can have first and second tube members with different internal diameters, and the valve can use a ball movable between positions in the tube members.
