Abstract: A portable fluid filtering apparatus includes a debris chamber having an exhaust port; a rotor that draws in a fluid from outside the debris chamber to the exhaust port; a filter positioned between the exhaust port and the rest of the debris chamber; an intake port in fluid communication with the debris chamber and wherein the rotor draws the fluid into the debris chamber through the intake port; and a drive system configured to rotate the rotor that includes a drive shaft connected to the rotor, a motor to rotate the drive shaft, and a power source for the motor.

Abstract: A method operates a filter device for polymer melt to be filtered. The filter device incorporates at least one first large-area filter in a first filter chamber and a second large-area filter in a second filter chamber; a first valve in a first inlet to the first filter chamber and a second valve in a second inlet to the second filter chamber to control the polymer melt to be filtered; a first drain valve in a first drain for the filtered polymer melt from the first filter chamber and a second drain valve in a second drain for the filtered polymer melt from the second filter chamber. The polymer melt to be filtered is conveyed under pressure through the filter device. The first inlet and the second inlet are connected to a common inlet and the first drain and the second drain are connected to a common drain. Polymer melt to be filtered is simultaneously fed to the first and second large-area filters in the filter direction. Parallel filtering is continuously performed via the first and second large-area filters. A backflushing operation for filtering via only one large-area filter is started when the large-area filter reaches a predefined degree of contamination at which the first large-area filter is cleaned.

Abstract: A dip tank and recycling system for applying antimicrobial solution to food items, including a dip tank having a bottom and sides, and holding a liquid antimicrobial solution. A conveyor to convey food items through the tank passes through the liquid antimicrobial solution held in the tank such that food items conveyed on the conveyor are dipped in the liquid antimicrobial solution. At least two discharge nozzles spray fresh antimicrobial solution into the tank. The discharge nozzles are located in the sides of the tank, and are positioned above the level of the conveyor but below an expected top level of the liquid antimicrobial solution contained within the tank such that food items conveyed on the conveyor are agitated by the force of the spray from the discharge nozzles. The spray from the discharge nozzles causes unstacking of items on the conveyor, producing an even application of the antimicrobial solution.

Abstract: There is provided a filter for a diaphragm valve. The filter attaches to a diaphragm of the valve and filters fluid entering a control chamber in the valve. The filter includes internal structure that increases the path from where fluid enters the filter through a mesh of holes to a single exit flow path leading to the control chamber. This increased path reduces the potential for debris in the flow to clog the exit flow path from the filter.

Abstract: A nutrient concentration and water recovery system includes a first suspended solids settling tank configured to receive a flow stream that includes a waste stream with a sludge stream. A first centrifugal pump is coupled to the first suspended solids settling tank. The first centrifugal pump having corrosion resistant wetted parts and variable speed drives to transfer or pressurize process flow streams. A first level transmitter coupled to the first centrifugal pump that provides output signals in response to a level of a process material within the first suspended solids settling tank. The first level transmitter is mounted in the first suspended solids settling tank. A first flow transmitter coupled to the first level transmitter is configured to measure a specific volume of material transferred out of the first suspended solids settling tank. A first pump is coupled to the first flow meter and configured to transfer a flush water that includes suspended solids and inorganics. A vibrating screen is coupled to the first pump. A process tank is coupled to the submersible pump. A sedimentation removal system and a removal device coupled to the sedimentation removal system are provided and configured to remove inorganizes out of a suspension.
