Abstract: An air cleaner assembly with a restriction indicator includes a housing having an exterior surface around an interior volume. The housing includes a bore extending through a portion of the exterior surface of the housing surrounded by a bore wall protruding from the portion of the exterior surface. A receptacle wall of the housing is disposed around the bore wall and is radially spaced from the bore wall to form a channel between the bore wall and the receptacle wall. A restriction indicator measures a restriction in the interior volume and displays an indication of the restriction. The restriction indicator includes a stem that is at least partially insertable into the bore that engages an inner surface of the bore wall. One or more tabs of the restriction indicator are at least partially insertable in the channel and removably couple to the receptacle wall.

Abstract: A gaseous fluid filter has a filter element insertable into the filter housing through a service opening. A clamping wedge is insertable in a joining direction for clamping the filter element in clamping direction against the filter housing. The filter element rests against the filter housing with a seal surface facing away from the clamping wedge. The clamping wedge has a housing wedge side facing a housing stop and a filter element wedge side facing a filter element stop. These wedge sides each have first and second bearing surfaces separated by a step. The joining direction extends in or parallel to a contact plane between housing wedge side and housing stop. The first and/or second bearing surface of the filter element wedge side is positioned at a wedge base angle of 1° to 20° to the joining direction. The steps of the wedge sides are offset in joining direction.

Abstract: A filter housing has a first housing part with a first rim section and a second housing part with a second rim section. The housing parts can be joined and separated from each other in axial mounting direction and define a housing interior for a filter element provided with a circumferentially extending sealing element. The first and second rim sections form a receiving area in which the sealing element is seal-tightly clamped radially between the first and second rim sections when the housing parts are joined in the mounted state. A snap connecting device axially braces the first and second housing parts relative to each other. The snap connecting device is formed integrally on the first and second housing parts such that a clamping force applied by the first and second rim sections on the sealing element in radial direction is decoupled from the snap connecting device.

Abstract: A filter element includes a frame having an outlet panel and two side panels defining a U-shape. A U-shaped media anchor channel extends along the distal side edge of each panel. Each media anchor channel can have a snap-tab or other locking feature. The element encloses a pleated panel filter media pack having a side edge along each side of the pack. Each side edge of the media pack is located in a media anchor channel, and a bead of adhesive is applied along the channel. A pair of seal bars, each having a u-shape and a snap-tab or other feature that cooperates with the u-shape and the snap-tab of each media anchor channel, is pressed into each channel. Each seal bar mechanically retains a respective media side edge in the channel and together with the adhesive, provides a consistent, robust seal between the media and the frame.

Abstract: A frame for a foldable and disposable air filter media is disclosed. The frame has a frame base and a frame cover having a size to overlap the air filter media. The frame cover is attached to the frame base by hinges allowing movement of the frame cover between an open position and a closed latched position. The closed frame holds the air filter media between the frame base and frame cover when in the closed position. The frame base includes an air flow monitoring system with an air pressure differential sensor to determine when the filter needs to be replaced. The frame also has capability to hold additional sensors for monitoring environmental conditions. A processor and memory enable collection and storage of sensed data. A communication module on the frame communicates air filter media change requirement to external devices including hand-held devices or a cloud server.

Abstract: An air cleaner assembly is disclosed, along with related methods. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly has a housing including a housing body and a removable cover that together define an interior volume for holding a filter cartridge. A second plurality of lugs can be provided on the cover, wherein each of the second plurality of lugs has a second engagement surface disposed at the first angle. A lock mechanism can also be provided that is disposed on the cover, wherein the lock mechanism includes a lock member axially movable between a locked position and an unlocked position to selectively secure the cover to the housing body.
