The repair device includes a capture portion and an anchor portion. The capture portion configured to extend with radial portions. The anchor portion includes a base with multiple legs extending therefrom. The multiple legs are configured to move from a linear position to a formed position such that, in the formed position, the multiple legs couple to structure of the capture portion.

Methods of protecting a tendon of a patient are also disclosed.

摘要: Instruments, systems, and methods for securing anchors, elastomeric devices, and other elements in bone. In one example, an instrument includes a collar movable between a locked configuration that prevents an insertion shaft of the instrument from translating relative to a drive shaft of the instrument and an unlocked configuration that does not prevent the insertion shaft from translating relative to the drive shaft. In another example, an instrument for securing an elastomeric device to bone includes a lock movable between locked and unlocked configurations (e.g. similar to or the same as the collar in the previous example) that facilitates insertion of the elastomeric device into a bone opening when the lock is in the locked configuration, and subsequent insertion of a bone implant into the bone opening when the lock is in the unlocked configuration.

摘要: A suture anchor for knotless fixation of tissue. The suture anchor includes an implant configured to hold a suture to be anchored in bone without requiring suture knots. The suture is secured in bone by inserting the implant holding the suture into a hole in the bone, and advancing a fixation device, such as a cannulated interference screw, over a shaft at the proximal end of the implant.

摘要: A method and apparatus for surgically repairing a tear in soft tissue is disclosed. A plurality of collapsible tubes are positioned about the suture. The collapsible tubes are pushed through soft tissue and orthopedic mesh on opposite sides of a tear in soft tissue. When tension is applied to the suture, the tubes are compressed to fix the suture to the soft tissue and draw the soft tissue portions together.

摘要: Devices, systems and/or methods for repairing soft tissue adjacent a soft tissue repair site. In one embodiment, the repair device includes an anchor member having a base with at least four legs extending from the base. The base extends with a generally flat circular profile defining an upper surface and an underside surface with a central opening extending therethrough. Further, the at least four legs extend from the base with an elongated angled portion, the elongated angled portion being oriented at an angle less than seventy-five degrees relative to the underside surface of the base. With this arrangement, the anchor member may be fixated to soft tissue by rotating the base with a delivery tool so that the elongated angled portion of the at least four legs facilitates the anchor member sinking into the soft tissue and fixating thereto.

摘要: A distal biceps tendon repair device is disclosed. The device allows for anatomically correct biceps tendon repair using a single incision anterior approach without the risk associated with a double incision posterior approach. The distal biceps tendon repair device eliminates the necessity of cutting supinator muscle and greatly reduces the risk of contact or damage to vital structures such as arteries or nerves. The device has a bone drill guide mechanically coupled to a cannulated bone hook. A retrieval wire passes through the cannulated bone hook to grasp a suture or suture guide that has passed through a cannulated drill bit retained by the bone drill guide, the retrieval wore brings the suture through the cannulated hone hook, thus bringing the suture through and around the hone for subsequent anatomically correct attachment and placement of sutures used to reattach the distal biceps tendon to the bone.
