摘要: An adjustable, locking all-suture anchor assembly includes at least one suture strand and an all-suture anchoring element. The suture strand has a suture first end and a suture second end, wherein the suture first end includes an enlarged capturable structure and the suture second end is free and accessible for manipulation by a medical practitioner. In use, the suture first end is held in or by the all-suture anchoring element through inclusion of the enlarged capturable structure and the enlarged capturable structure functions to anchor the suture first end in relation to the all-suture anchoring element and retain the suture first end in position relative to the all-suture anchoring element when the suture second end is pulled.

The slidable knot is located on a sleeve that is placed into a bone mass for capturing an anchor element. The anchor element captures the adjustable loop and then is inserted into the sleeve. The anchor element is adjusted for securing it in a locked position within the sleeve for secure attachment of the anchor element therein.

摘要: A suture anchor is described which in one form may be easily fabricated from extruded material by angular cuts and bore holes which provide an offset pulling force to the suture. In an alternate and preferred embodiment the suture anchor is injection molded having an annular displaced corner and abutment wall which act to seat the suture anchor firmly within a bore hole. Novel application means are also disclosed which hold the suture anchor on a frangible shaft for insertion and upon completion of the insertion permit fracture of the frangible portion and removal of the instrument.

摘要: The suture passer of the invention has a pair of opposed jaws. The lower jaw is formed by a hollow tube having its end turned upwardly to face the upper jaw. The hollow tube preferably extends from the lower jaw to a pair of handles. The tube can terminate anywhere along the length of the lower jaw. An upper jaw is hinged to the tube and provides a guide for a needle. The handles are used for the surgeon to grasp the device and to manipulate the jaws.

摘要: A knotless suture anchor assembly for the attachment or reattachment or repair of tissue to a bone mass. The assembly allows for an endoscopic or open surgical procedure to take place without the requirement of tying a knot for reattachment of tissue to bone mass. A spike member is inserted through tissue mass through a loop and inserted into a dowel-like hollow anchoring sleeve which has been inserted into a bone mass. The spike member is securely fastened or attached to the anchoring sleeve with a ratcheting mechanism thereby pulling or adhering (attaching) the tissue to the bone mass.
