摘要: The disclosure relates to a stent with a compressible and expandable mesh structure of webs which are interconnected by web connectors into one piece and define rhomboid cells, wherein each cell is defined by two straight webs and two S-shaped curved webs which connect the straight webs together, and wherein (i) in a non-operational state, the mesh structure has a fully expanded non-operational diameter Dexp which is between 3.0 mm and 5.0 mm, (ii) a ratio between a fully compressed diameter Dkomp of the mesh structure and the non-operational diameter Dexp of the mesh structure is between 1:7 and 1:12, and (iii) the webs have a web height, measured in a radial direction, which is at least 0.05 mm and at most 0.09 mm, so that the mesh structure has a radial force of at least 0.5 N, in particular at least 0.6 N, between the fully compressed diameter Dkomp and an operational diameter which is at most 90% of the non-operational diameter Dexp.

摘要: Embodiments of a prosthetic heart valve are disclosed. An implantable prosthetic valve may be radially collapsible to a collapsed configuration and radially expandable to an expanded configuration. The prosthetic valve may comprise an annular frame, a leaflet structure positioned within the frame and a plurality of outer skirts positioned around an outer surface of the frame, each outer skirt comprising an inflow edge secured to the frame and an outflow edge secured at intervals to the frame. The plurality of outer skirts may include a first outer skirt and a second outer skirt, wherein in the expanded configuration the first and second outer skirts include openings unsecured to the frame between the intervals. The inflow edge of the first annular outer skirt may be secured to the frame with sutures including radiopaque material. The first annular outer skirt may include radiopaque dye.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve for replacing a native valve includes a stent extending between a proximal end and a distal end and including a plurality of struts forming cells, the stent having a collapsed condition and an expanded condition. At least one runner is coupled a cell, the at least one runner being configured to transition from a first configuration to a second configuration when the stent moves from the collapsed condition to the expanded condition, the at least one runner projecting radially outwardly from the cell in the second configuration. A valve assembly is disposed within the stent, the valve assembly including a plurality of leaflets, a cuff at least partially disposed on a luminal surface of the stent, and a covering material disposed on an abluminal surface of the stent and covering the at least one runner in the second configuration.

摘要: Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example delivery system for an implantable medical device includes an inner shaft having a proximal end region, a distal end region, a non-circular lumen extending therethrough. The delivery system also includes a tension resistance member extending at least partially between the proximal end region and the distal end region, a deployment catheter disposed along the outer surface of the shaft, and an actuation shaft disposed within the non-circular lumen. Further, the actuation shaft is coupled to the implantable medical device and translation of the actuation shaft shifts the implantable medical device from a first position to a second position.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve includes a collapsible and expandable stent extending from an inflow end to an outflow end and a plurality of prosthetic valve leaflets coupled to the stent. The prosthetic heart valve may also include a sealing ring coupled to the inflow end of the stent, the sealing ring comprising a tube extending circumferentially around the inflow end of the stent. The tube may be formed from a wire coiled into a repeating shape, such as a rectangle or a diamond, so that the tube is collapsible. A covering may at least partially surround the tube. The sealing ring may include a first filler positioned within the tube and/or a second filler positioned between the tube and the covering.

摘要: An endovascular apparatus is provided for treating the effects of vascular disease including aneurysms and arterial blockages using a percutaneous, minimally invasive technique. In one embodiment the endovascular apparatus includes a tubular sleeve having a cranial end, a first caudal branch, and a second caudal branch such that the tubular sleeve is shaped like an upside down “Y.” The apparatus further includes at least one expandable attachment device attached to the tubular sleeve for securing the endovascular apparatus to an interior wall of a vessel. The at least one expandable attachment device includes a plurality of telescoping segments similar to the telescoping segments of a presentation pointer. Accordingly, during percutaneous insertion of the endovascular apparatus into a patient the attachment device can be collapsed into a small profile. Once positioned at the site of the aneurysm the telescoping attachment device can be expanded to hold the endovascular apparatus in place adjacent the inner lumen wall.
