摘要: A motor organ disease prediction device includes at least one processor, in which the processor derives a bone mineral density of a target bone among bones included in a subject including a bone part and a soft part, a muscle mass around the target bone, shape information representing a shape of the target bone, and shape information representing a shape of a bone adjacent to the target bone from a first radiation image and a second radiation image acquired by imaging the subject by radiation having different energy distributions. The processor derives a probability of occurrence of a motor organ disease relating to the target bone from the bone mineral density of the target bone, the muscle mass around the target bone, the shape information of the target bone, and the shape information of the bone adjacent to the target bone.

摘要: A system, devices, and methods are described for imaging and measuring the mechanical properties of both surface and subcutaneous tissues found in living organisms, animals, and in natural and synthetic materials, and may include a first device configured to determine a modulus of a portion of bulk material or subcutaneous tissue (via measurement of vibrations), and/or determine resonant frequency of the vibrations, and a second device operably connected to the first device and configured to generate vibrations. The first device may be an optical coherence tomography device. The system may include a processor and data storage device with instructions which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to process of the frequency data and the displacement data to determine a resonant frequency of the material under investigation and calculate the mechanical modulus of elasticity of the material from a resonance frequency spectrum of the analyzed spectral image.

摘要: A wearable device utilizing flexible electronics is disclosed. The wearable device may comprise a flexible matrix material and may include sensors for measuring biometric measurements of an individual, an accelerometer for measuring an acceleration of a body part to which the wearable device is attached, a wireless transmitter, a flexible power source, and a microcontroller. During an activity, the microcontroller may receive signals from the sensors including the biometric measurements, and signals from the accelerometer including acceleration and force measurements associated with the individual. The microcontroller may convert the signals into digital signals and transmit the signals to a computing device for analysis. The computing device may analyze the digital signals to determine a performance metric for the individual. The performance metric may be compared to baseline data for the individual to determine a fatigue level, injury risk, or an adjustment to be made by the individual during the activity.

摘要: A method of monitoring a subject for the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) includes obtaining real-time pulse arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) measurements from the subject. The SpO2 measurements are transformed into a novel metric known as Accumulated Hypoxic Debt (AHD). The AHD metric is used as the independent variable in a longitudinal generalized linear mixed model to calculate the probability D that the subject is at risk of AMS. Based on the probability D, appropriate courses of action may be communicated to the subject via the output device of a wearable or portable monitor.

摘要: A universal sensor pod provides a native sensing function during a first mode of operation and a secondary sensing function during a second mode of operation. The universal sensor pod may transition from the native sensing function to the secondary sensing function upon detecting that a sensor capable of the secondary sensing function is connected to the universal sensor pod via a smart connector. The universal sensor pod may continue one or more native sensing functions along with the secondary sensing function upon detecting that a sensor capable of the secondary sensing function is connected to the universal sensor pod via a smart connector. A code embedded within the smart connector is transmitted to a processor contained within the universal sensor pod and in response, the processor executes a firmware application that is tailored to the secondary sensing function code in response to receiving the code.
