摘要: A microfluidics device comprises a cover mounted to an addressing structure. The cover has a working surface on one side, and a plurality of electrodes on its other side. The electrodes may be used for manipulation of fluid droplets on the working surface. 摘要: The present application provides an inhibitory compound, such as a peptide, and methods for using the inhibitory compound in the treatment, diagnosis or monitoring of cognitive and mood disorders that are typically associated with memory loss and/or loss of executive function. In one example, the inhibitory compound is a peptide that mimics the N-terminal sequence of the intracellular loop of α5 subunit of α5GABAA receptors. Also provided are compositions and methods for treating a disorder associated with memory loss or loss of executive function. The therapeutic method comprises the step of inhibiting binding of radixin to α5GABAA receptors, for example, by administration of the presently described inhibitory compound or peptide.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to the manufacturing and use of co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalysts for electroreduction of CO or CO2 to produce n-propanol. The co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalyst includes Cu as well as Ag and a secondary dopant, such as Ruthenium (Ru), Rhodium (Rh), Iridium (Ir), Palladium (Pd), Gold (Au) or Platinum (Pt). The co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalyst can be manufactured using a two-stage method where Cu nanoparticles are first doped with Ru and then doped with Ag. The co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalysts facilitate adsorption of CO, C1-C1 coupling, C1-C2 coupling and certain kinetics for the production of propanol by electroreduction with good selectivity at high current densities.

摘要: There is provided a neurostimulator and method for delivering to a subject a stimulation in response to a predicted or detected condition. The neurostimulator including: a power circuit for providing electrical power to the neurostimulator; a recording array having a plurality of electrodes for recording a plurality of neurophysiological signals corresponding to a plurality of sites of the subject; a signal processor configured to: determine a phase synchrony among the neurophysiological signals; and associate selected phase synchrony calculations with the prediction or detection of a neurological or neurophysiological condition; and one or more stimulators for delivering to the subject a stimulation in response to the predicted or detected condition.

摘要: A method to obtain a cache miss ratio curve where a memory blocks of a cache have variable block sizes. By stacking sets of counters, each set being for a different block size, a stack distance for variable block sizes can be obtained and used to determine a miss ratio curve. Such curve can then be used to select a cache size that is appropriate for an application without requiring excessive memory. Methods can be used for batches of request, can apply limits to block sizes, and rounding for intermediary block sizes, they can be used with pruning, and their space complexity can be held constant.

摘要: Methods and systems for mRNA analysis and quantification of mRNA expression in cells are provided. An example method includes introducing a first capture probe and a second capture probe into the cells, the first capture probe and the second capture probe each configured to be complementary to a respective section of target mRNA within the cells, wherein binding of the first and second capture probes to the respective sections of the target mRNA results in tagging of the cells and causes the first and second capture probes to form clusters with each other. The first capture probe and the second capture probe are each bound to magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) that, when trapped within the tagged cells, cause the tagged cells to be susceptible to magnetic forces. The method and system further include introducing the cells into a device configured to magnetically capture tagged cells.

摘要: For a given application, increasing the size of a cache is beneficial up to a certain point and the number of hits does not increase significantly with a greater cache size. This disclosure provides a method to determine a miss ratio curve, for a cache having data blocks with a time-to-live. A hashed value of a data block's key address can be used to generate a 2D HLL counter for storing expiry times of the data blocks. The 2D HLL counter can be converted to a 1D array, from which a stack distance can be calculated. A frequency distribution of stack distances can then be converted into a miss ratio curve, from which an appropriate cache size can be selected.
