摘要: An exhaust apparatus has an exhaust pipe that receives exhaust gas from an engine and a muffler attached to the exhaust pipe. The muffler has an exhaust portion that discharges exhaust gas received by the exhaust pipe. A tubular member is attached to the exhaust portion and has an exhaust inlet portion for passage therethrough of the exhaust gas discharged through the exhaust portion and an opening portion formed oppositely from the exhaust inlet portion. A filter formed from metal fibers is disposed in the tubular member to reduce an exhaust noise created by the exhaust gas. A cap member is attached to the opening portion of the tubular member and has an exhaust outlet portion that discharges the exhaust gas from the muffler.

摘要: In a utility vehicle, a muffler accommodating chamber is defined in front of and below an engine mounted at a front portion of a vehicle frame. A rear wall of the muffler accommodating chamber is formed by a front axle frame which is mounted to extend between both of vertical frame portions of the vehicle frame and supports a front axle beam for rotatably supporting front wheels at its opposite ends. The front axle frame has a function to support the front axle beam, a function as a strength member in the form of a cross member, and a function as a member defining the muffler accommodating chamber. A driving gear is mounted to a steering shaft and thrust-supported by a lower surface of a support portion of a support frame which is fixedly mounted on the vehicle frame. A driven gear meshed with the driving gear and a pitman arm are connected to a rotary shaft whose axially upward movement is limited by the support portion and whose axially downward movement is limited by a bracket mounted to the vehicle frame. Thus, the assembling and disassembling of a steering system are facilitated, and it is possible to protect the driving and driven gears from an external force and to accurately determine a distance between the steering shaft and the rotary shaft.

摘要: In a power blower, an operating handle is fixed on a fan housing via a damping mechanism resiliently supporting the operating handle in such a manner as to permit displacement of the handle with respect to the housing in three directions: axial direction of a discharge duct; and two directions perpendicular to the axial direction. The mechanism includes first and second shaft sections extending from the housing, first and second cylindrical mounting sections formed on the handle, damping members each fittingly interposed between one of the mounting sections and one of the shaft sections and having protrusions contacting the inner peripheral surface of the mounting section. Each of the mounting sections fits the outer peripheral surface of the damping member without interfering with the shaft section. Retainer member is provided at the distal end of each of the shaft sections for holding the damping member.

摘要: A power blower has a fan housing, a blowing fan accommodated in the fan housing, a drive source for driving the blowing fan, an operating handle connected to the fan housing for gripping by an operator of the power blower, and at least one vibration damping member interposed between the operating handle and the fan housing. The vibration damping member has resiliently deformed protruding portions contacting an inner peripheral surface of the operating handle so that vibrations in three directions, passing from the drive source and blowing fan to the fan housing, are absorbed by resilient deformation of the protruding portions to thereby suppress vibrations passing via the fan housing to the operating handle.

摘要: In an engine operated machine system including a hollow support rod connected at one end to an engine through a vibration insulator, an auxiliary weight is mounted at the other end of a crankshaft for generating a centrifugal force in the same direction as an inertia force of a piston, when the piston reaches top and bottom dead centers. Thus, it is possible to bring a center of gravity of the engine closer to the position of the vibration insulator, thereby suppressing the application of the vibration from the engine to the support rod to the utmost.
