Abstract: A safety method, performed by a control device for a vehicle assembled from a set of modules, the vehicle including at least two modules, including at least one drive module and at least one functional module. The control device is in any of the at least two modules. The at least one drive module has a pair of wheels and is configured to be autonomously operated. The method includes detecting (s101) an emergency situation in any of the at least two modules of the assembled vehicle, transmitting (s102) information about the detected emergency situation to a control center and controlling (s103) the module associated with the emergency situation to physically disconnect from the assembled vehicle. Also to a computer program, a computer-readable medium, a control device and a vehicle are included.

Abstract: A modular fire extinguishing vehicle comprising a drive module and a releasable connected fire extinguishing module and comprising a plurality of containers comprising different types of fire distinguishing agents and a fluid line connected thereto. The fluid line comprises a connecting interface for connection to a port of another vehicle. The vehicle also comprises a control device configured to obtain information about an ongoing or imminent fire in another vehicle and a position of the other vehicle and to autonomously or remotely operate the modular fire extinguishing vehicle to drive to a position of the other vehicle based on the position information, to connect the fluid line to a port of the other vehicle; and control transfer of a selected one of the different types of fire extinguishing agents into the fluid line, wherein the selected type of fire extinguishing agent is based on the information about the ongoing or imminent fire.

Abstract: A method for replacing a first module (30, 40) of a vehicle (1) with a new module (30, 30′, 40). The vehicle (1) includes: at least one drive module (30); and at least one functional module (40). The vehicle (1) has a unique vehicle identity. The method includes: setting (s101) the vehicle (1) into a maintenance mode indicating that the vehicle (1) is not available for operation; and preparing (s102) the vehicle (1) for physical disconnection of the first module (30, 40); when the first module (30, 40) has been physically disconnected from the vehicle (1) and the new module (30, 30′, 40) has been physically connected to the vehicle (1): establishing (s103) an electrical connection between the new module (30, 30′, 40) and the vehicle (1); assigning (s104) the new module (30, 30′, 40) the unique vehicle identity of the vehicle (1); setting (s105) the vehicle (1) into an operational mode; and verifying s106) the electrical connection of the new module (30, 30′, 40).

Abstract: A fire extinguishing assistance system arranged in a modular vehicle, for assisting e.g. a fire extinguishing vehicle in extinguishing an ongoing or imminent fire in the modular vehicle. The modular vehicle comprises at least one drive module and a functional module that are releasably connected. The system comprises a plurality of ports accessible from the outside of the modular vehicle; wherein each port is configured for receiving a fire extinguishing agent from e.g. the fire extinguishing vehicle. The system also comprises an individual manifold connected to each port, wherein each is arranged to guide the fire extinguishing agent to at least one nozzle directed inside of the modular vehicle. The system further comprises a control device to detect an ongoing or imminent fire and configure at least one of the plurality of ports selected for receiving a fire extinguishing agent to assist in suppressing the ongoing or imminent fire.

Abstract: A method for enabling authentication of transport missions, performed in a control device of a member of a group comprising a plurality of autonomous vehicles and an off-board system. Each member in the group comprises a cryptographic function known by all other members. The method comprises signing, using the cryptographic function, information defining at least one transport mission to be performed by at least one of the autonomous vehicles in the group; and sending the signed information to a plurality of the other members of the group, in order to request them to authenticate the transport mission. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method for authenticating transport missions, to control devices implementing the methods, to computer programs, to computer-readable storage mediums, and to autonomous vehicles.
