    摘要: A welding clamp system using a fixture plate with a bulkhead that allows the clamp system to be coupled to a robotic arm. The robotic arm supplies air and electricity through pneumatic and electrical ports, enabling operation of the clamp system. The air is routed to pneumatic cylinders, which power a pneumatic clamp mechanism that moves sliding clamp fixtures along tracks. The sliding clamp fixtures press a work piece against immobile clamp fixtures, allowing a work piece to be secured and held during welding. Presence of a work piece is detected by proximity sensors which are mounted into the fixture. The clamp system allows a robotic arm to grab a work piece from a supply area, initiate and complete welding of the work piece, and then release the work piece onto a discharge station for removal of the completed work piece.

The method includes integrally forming a positioning and reinforcement structure having a relatively rectilinear configuration comprising a top support member, a bottom support member, a first side member and a second side member. The method also includes detachably coupling a first wing structure to the first side member. The method further includes operably mounting a first fender assembly to a first side flange of the first wing structure. The method yet further includes operably coupling a centering bracket proximate the top support member. The method also includes locating and centering the positioning and reinforcement structure to a hood with the centering bracket. The method further includes fixedly securing the positioning and reinforcement structure to a radiator support disposed rearwardly of the positioning and reinforcement structure.

The frame (20) is fixed beneath the cross member (18) and includes a lower transverse beam (50) and two side-struts (52) connecting the lower beam (50) to the cross member (18). Each strut (52) includes a lower portion (54) which is integral with the beam (50), and an upper portion (56) which is integral with the cross-member (18). The upper portion (56) and the lower portion (54) are mobile relative to one another between a disassembled configuration in which the upper portion (56) is arranged at a distance from the lower portion (54), and an assembled configuration in which the upper portion (56) and the lower portion (54) are fitted together.

The locating pin and the retention clip allow alignment of the front end module with the body structure and the retention clip secures the two assemblies in place which allows alignment of fastener holes. This conserves time in the assembly line and allows more accurate and rapid assembly of the front end module on the body structure reducing the time necessary for assembly.
