    Abstract: A method for compensating pixel luminance of a display panel which includes receiving pixel parameters corresponding to sub-pixels of the display panel, receiving an input image, adjusting the input image according to the pixel parameters, and displaying the adjusted input image at the display panel. The pixel parameters include a first pixel parameter of a base luminance level of a base color channel, a first residual determined from performing inter-channel prediction, a second residual determined from performing inter-level prediction, and parameters used in the performing of the inter-level prediction.

    Abstract: A virtual device for processing Web-based content to be displayed on a remote rendering device includes: a processor implemented by one or more cloud resources; and a memory, and the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: receive the content; detect an attribute of the remote rendering device and process the content according to the detected attribute; analyze the content to construct a render tree corresponding to the content; prepare render tree data for rendering by the remote rendering device, the render tree data corresponding to the constructed render tree; and transmit the render tree data over a communication network to the remote rendering device.

    Abstract: A system of transmitting display data is presented. The system includes a frame encoding part configured to receive a source frame and output a compressed frame. The frame encoding part has: a difference unit configured to generate a difference frame using the source frame and an encode reference frame; an encode output unit configured to output a compressed version of either the source frame or the difference frame as a compressed frame; and a first compressed frame buffer configured to store a compressed version of the source frame as a new encode reference frame, wherein the frame encoding part further includes a frame decision unit configured to compare the image quality of frames respectively derived from the source frame and the difference frame.

    Abstract: An independent multi-source display device including: a multi-input receiver configured to concurrently receive a plurality of input data from input sources external to the independent multi-source display device, each of the input data having a display element structure indicating a data format, a depth order, a size, a position, and a content, the multi-input receiver including: formatters, each being configured to convert an input data having a data format associated with the formatter to uncompressed data; and a data classifier configured to identify a data format associated with each of the input data based on a respective display element structure of each of the input data; a compositor coupled to the formatters and configured to composite the uncompressed data into composite frames based on the display element structure associated with each of the received uncompressed data; and a display panel configured to display the composite frames.
