    摘要: Bucket tip tenons requiring refurbishment are removed from the bucket tips by grinding. Groups of buckets are clamped on a rotatable table in positions adjacent an induction heating coil and a robotic welding arm, respectively. While one group is preheated, the other group of buckets is in a welding location, enabling the welding head on the robotic arm to sequentially apply weld buildup material to the bucket tips. After applying weld buildup material in multiple passes and sequentially to the bucket tips, the buckets are removed, stress-relieved and the weld buildup material machined to provide refurbished tenons. Upon removal of the buckets from the table, the table is rotated to locate the preheated buckets in welding locations and additional buckets are clamped to the table for preheating.

    摘要: A portable proximity alert detector is provided for a user to determine when at least one companion comes within a predetermined range of the user. The device includes a receiving portion for wirelessly receiving a first signal encoded with a code identifying a companion and a transmitting portion for wirelessly transmitting a second signal encoded with a user identifying code. The device also includes a processor, a modulator operationally coupling the processor to the transmitting portion for modulating the user identifying code, and a demodulator operationally coupling the processor to the receiving portion for demodulating the companion identifying code. A first memory segment is operationally coupled to the processor for storing companion identifying codes received by the receiving portion. A second memory segment is operationally coupled to the processor for storing companion identifying codes of companions whom the user desires to contact. A third memory segment operationally coupled to the processor for storing the user identifying code. A user interface is operationally coupled to the processor through which the companion identifying codes of the companions whom the user desires to contact are programmed into the second memory segment. An indicator is provided for alerting the user when at least one companion identifying codes received by the receiving portion matches one of the companion identifying codes stored in the second memory segment.

A related method of replacing a stub shaft on an end of a rotor shaft comprising: (a) providing a new stub shaft with a first chamfered end and an integral backing ring; (b) aligning the first chamfered end with a second chamfered end on the rotor shaft, with the integral backing ring overlapping the second chamfered end, and with the first and second chamfered ends forming a substantially V-shaped weld groove, with the integral backing ring overlapping the second chamfered end; (c) filling the V-shaped groove with weld material; (d) welding the stub shaft to the rotor shaft; and (e) machining the integral backing ring away from the stub shaft.

    摘要: Techniques are provided for assigning a device to a desired network. In one embodiment, the device is connected via a network switch to the network. A value of a configurable parameter corresponds to a data speed that would be used to transfer the data between the device and the network. To assign the device to the network, the value of the parameter corresponding to a desired speed is set in the network circuitry of the device. The network switch, interfaces with the device, detects the speed, and, based on this speed, assigns the device to a corresponding network. Additionally, the switch can assign the data duplex based on a value of a configurable duplex parameter set in the network circuitry.
