Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a bent torsional profile comprising the following process steps: a) provision of a plate made of planar sheet metal, b) reshaping of the plate through the introduction of a bent trough oriented in the longitudinal direction of the plate in a central length portion (6) of the plate at a distance from the front edges of the plate, forming legs between the trough and the longitudinal edges of the plate, c) reshaping of the legs in such a manner that an open profile is created, d) reshaping of the legs in such a manner that a hollow profile is produced, wherein a longitudinal gap is formed between the two legs over the entire longitudinal extent thereof and wherein an air gap is created between the legs and the trough in the region of the trough, e) joining of the two legs over the entire longitudinal gap.
Abstract:
A composite wheel assembly and method of construction thereof is provided. The composite wheel assembly includes a lightweight annular fiber-reinforced barrel having an inner surface and an outer surface configured to support a tire thereon. A lightweight metal central hub assembly is fixed to the barrel. The metal central hub assembly includes a central hub portion and plurality of support spokes extending outwardly from the metal central hub portion. A wheel cladding contrasting in at least one of material type, color, texture and surface finish to an outwardly facing surface of the central hub assembly is fixed to the outwardly facing surface of the central hub assembly.
Abstract:
A heavy goods vehicle (10) having a vehicle frame (12) and at least one driving axis (A), which has on either longitudinal side (10a) of the vehicle (10) a bogie (22) comprising a wheel assembly (14), each wheel assembly (14) comprising at least two wheels arranged symmetrically in relation to a central axis (S), and a wheel suspension (18) by means of which said wheel assembly is fastened to a rotary plate (28) of the bogie (22), this rotary plate (28) being mounted on a rotary bearing (24) of the bogie (22) which is engaged with the vehicle frame (12) so as to be rotatable about a steering swivel axis (X). According to the invention, the rotary bearing (24) of the bogie (22) can be adjusted in the width direction (B) of the vehicle relative to the vehicle frame (12) and can be detachably connected to the vehicle frame (12) in an operationally stable manner.
Abstract:
A wheel for vehicles may include a rim coupled to a tire, and a spoke-shaped disc including a spoke and a vent hole, the spoke-shaped disc being coupled to a side surface of the rim to support the rim, in which a coupling zone between the spoke of the spoke-shaped disc and the rim and a coupling zone between a portion of the spoke-shaped disc formed with the vent hole and the rim have a height difference in a wheel axis direction, to allow the spoke-shaped disc to support the rim at an interior and an exterior of the rim.
Abstract:
A magnetic wheel includes: a balance block; a magnetic body which is provided in the balance block and attaches the balance block to an attachment object with a magnetic force; and a magnetic shielding block which is provided in the balance block and guides a magnetic field generated in the magnetic body toward the attachment object.
Abstract:
A fabricated drop axle is described. A pair of axle stub ends is oppositely retained within a saddle having a recess through which accessories can pass.
Abstract:
A method for the production of a closed hollow profile for a vehicle axle including the following steps: a) provision of a board made out of a sheet of metal, wherein the board has at least a length in a longitudinal direction and at least a width in a transverse direction, b) forming of the board, creating an open profile with a channel running in a longitudinal direction of the board, c) forming the lateral surfaces of the board, creating a hollow profile with a circumference and a longitudinal gap and d) joining together the longitudinal gap.
Abstract:
A structural component for a motor vehicle comprises first and second profiled sheet metal parts joined together by welding spots, which sheet metal parts have opposing free ends arranged to be mating to form an overlapping portion over a predetermined distance. A cross-section of the component through the overlapping portion has a hat shape that comprises first and second edge portions extending in the longitudinal direction of the component, first and second side portions arranged to join a respective edge portion, and a central portion arranged to join the side portions. The free end of the central portion of each sheet metal part comprises at least two tabs separated by a recess, and the tabs of the first and second sheet metal parts are joined to a part of an adjacent central portion by welding. The disclosure further relates to a method for making the component.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) wheel, comprising the following steps. Take an AHSS with at least 590 MPa of tensile strength for rolling to circular ring of a rim. Apply low heat input welding, such as the cold metal transfer (CMT) welding or the gas tungsten arc welding/tungsten inert gas arc welding (GTAW/TIG), at the junction of the rim to form a hollow cylindrical rim. Then perform hole expanding and spinning/roll forming operations to the rim. Take another AHSS with at least 980 MPa of tensile strength for pressing and forming a disk. Apply low heat input welding, such as cold metal transfer (CMT) welding, to the rim and the disk to produce a wheel. According to the present invention, the welding quality of products can be improved significantly; the fatigue lifetime of wheels can be enhanced; and wheels are lightweight.
