摘要: A gutter piece and a method of forming the gutter piece including the steps of: obtaining a gutter forming apparatus with a marking subassembly; obtaining a supply of gutter material; through the gutter forming apparatus, progressively forming the gutter material into completed gutter pieces, each with a length, as the gutter material is advanced in a forming path; and through the subassembly, continuously making discrete visible marks on the gutter material as the gutter material is advanced that: a) reside at predetermined intervals along a length of each of the completed gutter pieces, and b) are located to facilitate controlled interval placement of hangers that are used to support the completed gutter pieces in an operative position on a structure.

摘要: A plate-shaped workpiece forming method of post-machining a pocket (3) on a curved inner surface of a plate-shaped workpiece (2) in a state where the plate-shaped workpiece (2) curved by a curving machine (10) is spread flat. The method includes a curving step (A) of setting a net curve radius (R0) obtained by adding a curve radius contraction amount (R1) due to spring-in to a finished curve radius (R) of a plate-shaped workpiece (2), taking into account an amount of contraction of the curve radius of the plate-shaped workpiece (2) between before and after machining of a pocket (3) due to spring-in, and curving the plate-shaped workpiece (2) so as to achieve the net curve radius (R0); and a pocket machining step of post-machining the pocket (3) by flatly spreading the curved plate-shaped workpiece (2).

摘要: A device for manufacturing profiles from a sheet includes at least one work station with a base plate and two die halves, wherein the die halves and the base plate extend in the longitudinal direction of the profile to be manufactured, and the die halves are arranged on the base plate movable relative to one another perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the profile. A generic device and method for manufacturing profiles with which even heavily structured profiles can be economically produced with high flexibility, is provided by a punch for forming the sheet. The punch is movable perpendicular to the relative movement of the die halves and perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the profile to be manufactured. The base plate has a die adapted to the punch, in which the sheet is formed, and the die of the base plate and the punch pertaining to it are exchangeable.

摘要: An apparatus and method for forming at least one end turn and one slot segment of a coil for a stator of a dynamoelectric machine includes the utilization of a plurality of forming dies. Each forming die includes two lateral surfaces extending from a base and an end turn surface disposed substantially between and connecting the two lateral surfaces. Each forming die is disposed and pivotable into an arrangement where at least one lateral surface of a first forming die is substantially adjacent and parallel to at least one lateral surface of a second forming die, a slot segment thereby formable between lateral surfaces of adjacent forming dies and an end turn is at least partially formable between an end turn surface and a base of adjacent forming dies.

摘要: A forming apparatus for shaping a long plate member (31), converts on initial cross-section into a final sectional configuration, e.g., into a U-shaped final sectional configuraiton. The forming apparatus has an upper die (32) and a lower die (33) defining a forming part with pressing surfaces which are movable toward each other for a pressing operation. The long plate member is appropriately fed into the forming part. A drive mechanism reciprocates the upper die (32). The forming part defined by the upper die (32) and by the lower die (33) includes an initial forming region which is located on an inlet for the long plate member. The initial forming region has a forming configuration corresponding to a flat sectional configuration. A final forming region located at an outlet for the long plate member has a forming configuration corresponding to a U-shaped sectional configuration. Intermediate forming regions located between the inlet and the outlet have regions, of sectional configurations that change continuously along a feed advance direction so that the forming configuration of the initial forming region approaches or merges into the forming configuration of the final forming region.

摘要: The invention relates to a machine for folding sheet metal blanks. For folding a sheet metal blank, there is provided at least one folding member having a folding surface and being driven by an eccenter to perform a reciprocating beat movement. The sheet metal blank is drawn into the gap between the folding member and a stationary anvil for folding. The folding member is pivotally mounted in a holder for ease of operation and to obtain a neat folding. So the folding member is adapted to adjust to the instantaneous resistance of deformation of the sheet metal blank. If a sheet metal blank is to be folded twice, a corresponding second folding member, which is also pivotally mounted in a holder, is disposed downstream of the first folding member.

摘要: A roll-forming machine includes a plurality of forming members which are mounted at spaced points on an elongate, rigid spine. This permits conversion of the machine from one roll-forming configuration to another by removing the spine and the rollforming members attached thereto and then installing a different spine-forming member assembly in the roll-forming machine. In one embodiment of the invention the forming members comprise nondriven material engaging rollers and the roll-forming machine further includes a plurality of roll-stands each comprising nonforming driving rollers for moving material through the rollforming machine. In another embodiment of the invention the forming members comprise combination driving and forming rollers and couplers are provided for forming driving connections to the rollers. In a third embodiment the rigid spine supports nondriven forming rollers and idler rollers which cooperate with driving rollers to move material through the roll-forming machine.
