摘要: There is provided a press brake that can improve forming accuracy in partial bending. A press brake includes: a conveying mechanism that intermittently conveys a workpiece; a die including a pair of shoulder portions and a groove portion located between the pair of shoulder portions, the pair of shoulder portions being arranged away from each other in a conveying direction of the workpiece and supporting a rear surface of the workpiece; a backup plate that extends on the pair of shoulder portions, covers the groove portion, and is interposed between the die and the workpiece; and a punch that moves relative to the die so as to approach the die each time the conveying mechanism stops conveying the workpiece and presses the workpiece so as to bend the workpiece within an elastic deformation region of the backup plate.

摘要: The invention relates to a bending machine, in particular a press brake, having an upper beam and a lower beam. The upper beam is movable in a working direction of the bending machine in order to form a workpiece by bending along a bending line, which extends in a width direction of the bending machine. The bending machine includes a safety system having a first functional element and a further functional element for monitoring a safety area between both functional elements and between the upper beam and the lower beam. The safety system is arranged to follow the movement of the upper beam in the working direction. The first functional element and the further functional element are mechanically connected to one another via a flexible tractive force transmission means and an adjustment device for changing the position of the functional elements. The adjustment device includes a coupling section.

摘要: A system for shaping a workpiece, which may be in the form of a structural framing component, includes a tool with first and second indenting blades for indenting the workpiece as driven by a blade control apparatus. The workpiece is supported at the tool by one or more workpiece support modules that are each selectively and removably securable to the tool. A base plate is provided at the tool for removably securing the workpiece support modules to the tool without having to detach the tool from a platform of substructure. The workpiece support modules may therefore be quickly replaced to coordinate with workpieces of various size and shape.

摘要: A method for forming large titanium parts includes forming bends into a titanium plate for form a bent part. The bent part is then roll-formed to form contours into the bent part. The surfaces of the contoured part are rough-machined, and the part is then secured to a bladed form fixture. The bladed form fixture comprises a plurality of header boards that secure the part to the fixture. The fixture part is placed in a thermal vacuum furnace and a stress-relieving operation is performed. The part is removed from the fixture and final machining takes place.

摘要: Systems and methods for bending a material to a target resultant bending parameter using a bend forming tool are disclosed. The systems and methods receive values for parameters of properties of the material and of a bending process to be performed by the bend forming tool, creating or retrieving a calibration curve relating input bending parameter and resultant bending parameter based on the values from a database of calibration curves, determining a first springback compensated input bending parameter based on the target resultant bending parameter using the calibration curve, inputting the first springback compensated input bending parameter to the bend forming tool, and in a first step of bending the material, bending the material to the first springback compensated input bending parameter by applying the bending process using the bend forming tool.
