Abstract:
Wax-flux compositions for use in low-temperature soldering processes comprise (A) a major amount of a wax and (B) an effective amount to cause fluxing, at or below the soldering temperature of the piece to be soldered, of a wax-soluble product obtained by first reacting an aliphatic hydrocarbon-substituted succinic acid or derivative thereof which is capable of forming carboximide bonds with an alkylene polyamine to form a carboximide and then reacting said carboximide with an alkylaryl sulfonic acid. A process for soldering electrical components to a printed circuit board comprises (A) applying a molten wax-flux composition as described above to the metal pattern side of the board, (B) allowing the wax-flux composition to solidify, (C) trimming the components leads, and (D) soldering the components to the printed circuit board.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a water-rinsable soldering fluid comprising a mixture of a polyalkylene ether and a polyamide. The polyamide is formed from the reaction of a carboxylic acid and a polyalkylene polyamine.

Abstract:
A kayak sail system includes a sail including a first extending arm, a second extending arm, and a sail sheet supported between the first extending arm and the second extending arm. A deployment body for the sail includes a base plate supporting a first deployment arm and a second deployment arm. The first deployment arm is coupled to the first extending arm of the sail. The second deployment arm is coupled to the second extending arm of the sail. A support arm is spaced apart from the base plate. A first support post and a second support post extend from the support arm. A first extension spring extends from the first deployment arm and a second extension spring extends from the second deployment arm. The first extension spring is removably coupled to the first support post. The second extension spring is removably coupled to the second support post.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A two part ventilated seat cover for a motor vehicle seat, comprising a seat portion cushion and a seat back cushion. The two cushions are separated and mutually attached by a bulkhead. The bulkhead prevents air flow between the respective cushions. The cushions are equally sized to help equalize air flow thereto and therefrom. Elastic straps are provided to each cushion to facilitate attachment to the vehicle seat. Air is drawn into the system through an air pick up, then passes through a flexible conduit which branches into two secondary conduits. Each secondary conduit is preferably of equal cross section, each supplying one cushion with equal air flow. Each cushion is perforated only at a respective surface contacting the user, and air is discharged therethrough. Adequate supply of air to each respective cushion is assured by the branched supply conduit, and by separation of air flow within the respective cushions, as effected by the bulkhead. In alternative embodiments, air is obtained from the vehicle ventilation system and from a self-powered fan. In the latter case, the fan is integral to the air pick up.
Abstract:
Alkenyl halolactone esters of monools and polyols are described. These materials are useful as lubricating oil detergency and/or dispersancy additives.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel composition formed from the reaction of (a) an alkylphenol; (b) sulfur; (c) an alkaline earth metal and (d) an olefin. The composition is useful as a lubricating oil additive and provides both oxidation and corrosion control.
Abstract:
A lubricating oil additive composition which imparts improved oxidaton properties to crankcase lubricants comprises an antioxidant selected from aromatic or alkyl sulfides and polysulfides, sulfurized olefins, sulfurized carboxylic acid esters and sulfurized ester-olefins, and a primary amine of the formula: ##STR1## wherein each A is independently hydrogen or alkyl, R is alkyl or alkenyl of at least 6 carbon atoms, R.sup.1 is an alkyl group of at least 2 carbon atoms, x is an integer from 2 to 4, y is 1 to 4, and Het forms with the N atom, a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring optionally containing an additional N or O hetero atom. Lubricating oil compositions containing this additive composition are also disclosed. Zn dithiophosphates may, also, be used in the additive composition.
